ValiDate - an upcoming (and unsurprisingly racist) visual novel made by SJW's, for SJW's. Currently MIA.

I saw the trailer on JewTube earlier today, and it doesn't look terribly bad. It could be worse, at least the characters are what you can call "attractive", unlike the goblins of Validate.
But it's not a game I'd play, I find the idea of dating a human toilet repulsive.

It's not that far removed from tsukomogami stuff like with Touhou and their cute girl who was originally an umbrella, musical instrument ect... Looks like that's what they are kinda going for with personifying the objects. It might be amusing if it doesn't take itself too seriously.

But can you date the glasses you're wearing?
Also, 100 dateable characters? This game is never coming out.

The amount of writing you'd need to get done would be pretty extensive. It's a good idea. But unless they resort to AI that's a lot of time and money for each datable character. Plus you have to think, how far does each relationship go? Will this be a case of a few main characters getting the best routes while everything else is bare bones? Reusing texts with minor differences?

I wouldn't be surprised if it launches with a pared down cast and the promise of DLC that may or may not ever materialize.

Ans I just had a horrible idea for a hentai dating sim where you date girls panties personified as cute waifus. And I think something like that might actually exist too. :cringe:

Fuck you all for reminding me this existed.
I'm gonna make your day worse by reminding you that Dani and people like Dani, who worked on this game or an equally shitty, regressive leftie leaning game like it, are still able to find work in other companies to further fuck shit up by shitting on your favourite franchises.
DEI, not even once.

Well, not currently...
SAG strike on the vg industry...
Here's to hoping that the industry sheds this nonsense while the titles are on hold.

Not to mention that a handful of companies are seemingly starting to trim some of the fat that is the DEI movement, or at least that's what they're telling journos and the public.

Though part of me wonders if there's a "DEI failure to AI usage" pipeline. "Well, DEI was expensive, cost us a lot of money and fundamentally failed and those were humans. Why not just not hire humans and do everything with AI - it doesn't complain and we don't have to pay it for its shitty opinions"

So what's the official verdict of the game?

I went to the game's steam discussion page and it's basically dead. At least Dustborn's page is buzzing with activity, even if 99% of them are from people laughing at its failure.

For us, the deadbeat dad is by far, the only good character. Everything else is an dumpster fire, the dev was actively scaring away her writers, some other chick was mocking it on YouTube...

The game is incredibly likely to be an flop

This looks like it would be fun to watch [streamer personality goes here] play for an hour.
Do the appliance-people just turn into SJW character templates or is there a fun reference about them being appliances? Like if the vacuum cleaner guy can give you the blowjob of your life, or the toilet having a scat fetish, or the washing machine waxing nostalgic about Sears?

As hilarious as this would be, they were aiming for an 13+ rating and the dialogue never came close to being this clever

I think it's more or less dead, yeah. I don't even know if they released all of the content they planned.
