ValiDate - an upcoming (and unsurprisingly racist) visual novel made by SJW's, for SJW's. Currently MIA.

too much free time on my hands, so i looked into the other game and studio listed here.

basically validate but with CYBERPUNK, literally.

fujo bait to the max. i give them props for it being marginally better than validate's artstyle, but that's not saying much because the sprites look extremely dull.

they also have a kickstarter.

at least there's no promise of white people as a stretch goal and it seems diverse from the get-go, that's all i have to say about it. can definitely see why validate would want to associate with this kind of game lol. "perfect garbage", what a fitting name
At the very least this dating sum actually knows whats its going for in terms of aesthetic and audience. The whole point of dating sims anyway is that the reader actually wants to fuck the characters so it being fujo bait is no surprise. The art is fine imo, it's very much the western fujo equivalent to the generic moe blob art style most japanese dating sims tend to have

Bitch, what the fuck do you mean by "your feedback is always appreciated"? I legitimately left a goddamn comment on your Itch.io listing for the game saying I thought the overall design of the UI looked rough and could use some more work. I literally worded it like that too, and my comment was fucking nuked from orbit. I wasn't being mean, or even antagonistic, I LITERALLY POINTED OUT THAT THE UI LOOKED BAD.

Fucking thin skin devs seem to think feedback should exclusively be cock-garbling noises.
Well, your biggest mistake is posting it where they have the power to censor you.

You'd be better making a YouTube video like what @K. V. Bones did with Valorant

Don't tempt me

Come on, the comments section will be worth it!
Oh my, ya'll remember that video? Well if you need help DDW, i can help you format your thoughts and get your video organized to help make it of higher quality.

I just discovered Nitter yesterday, so here's what ValiDate's Twitter's up to now...

First up, unfunny shit.

Who the fuck is that guy on the left?

And here's Dani rambling about how Visual Novels are made by POC's.

Aren't most VNs still created for Japanese fapfuel? The mainly POC thing is mainly in America I think. Which is why homegrown VNs tend to suck so much and be so damn ugly.

At least she admits she chose a VN because it's the easymodo is game development.

They are, and yes. For some reason western oppression athletes decided to latch on to the genre like it belonged to them. Probably because yes, any moron can code a VN with free frameworks available everywhere, and all those black kids who started drawing because of Dragon Ball Z wanted to get something out of all the time they wasted drawing anime instead of studying in high-school.

Man, how are you going to tell complex and interestimg stories if every single little thing needs a trigger warning. Eventually you wont be able to tell any story because anything might be triggering to some weirdo.
You are waaaaaay too late to the party on that one. Just recently there was some cartoon where the villain character said/did something villainous and the “fans” began screaming at the VA over twitter like the actor had killed their children. In fandom spaces there’s already a purity death spiral where writing about bad things=supporting bad things. In the media side you have the Disney live action films about the villains like Maleficent and Cruella (her mom was killed by dalmations!).

The only unredeemingly evil creatures on the planet are Trump supporters.

Edit: The way this has disappeared reminds me so much of tumblr fans. A specific type. The ones who will post constant “headcanons”, or racebent fanart, but can’t actually write a plot if a gun was to their head. They will easily spit out “Harry Potter was an autistic Indian who was asexual and demiromantic with ae/aer pronouns” but can’t actually write a story where any of that makes sense or even matters.

In effect all the artists were rambling on about their OCs and never actually had a storyline.

I've mentioned it before but I've met otherwise rational women with that mentality. The example I've used previously is me saying that Doug Stamper from House of Cards was a good character only to be met with a childish "NO! He's evil!" - from a fan of the show! Write all the bad characters and actions out of that show and what do you have left?

It's like the things I've heard about pro-wrestling from the 60's and 70's where people actually bought into everything being real and that guy is actually a bad guy because... [hamsterwheel spinning] ...no it's just like that.

Which just baffles me. The reason I like Tom Hiddleston as Loki, or Samuel L Jackson in Kingsman, is because they were so great at leaving teeth marks in the scenery they were chewing.

Villains are fun, waaaay back when I was in high school we did Peter Pan. Captain Hook got a huge applause when he came out over Peter, and afterwards kids always ran to see Hook (it was done for kids and we would do performances during the school day where local elementary schools would come and watch, and then afterwards have "meet the actor" times). The actor who did the part said it was the most fun he'd had playing a part.

Often times, the villain is the best part of the story as they are the reason why the plot is happening to begin with and a story is usually as strong as its antagonist. So people fucking REEEEEEEEEEEEE-ing over villains doing villainous shit is stupid. Uh no shit that the bad guy is kicking puppies, raping nuns, and eating babies, he's the bad guy ffs so grow a spine and stop trying to make everything as bland and boring as possible because you're too much of a pussy over the fact that an evil fictional character is evil. sorry if this comes off a bit moti but this really annoys me.
