I’m starting to see people on youtube schitzoposting about Source 2 dataminers and how things in that shit point to Half Life 3. Have they done this for awhile or did the hardware stuff get everyone freaking out that badly?
Strings have been leaking for a long time, I think since CS2 released. Same thing happened with Dota 2 when Alyx was in development. The announcement of the hardware has just kicked things way up, but nothing new has actually leaked for a while.

Yeah there has been a few cases of actual evidence SOMETHING is going on behind the scenes for a new game for the past year or so that isn't deadlock, but now people are starting to grift on the hype train for engagement.

Yes, but also there's better arguments this could be it than before. 3 new devices, gman in background of reveal, soon.tm sticker on plate of steam machine, and various other stuff. And I'm pretty sure I've seen other evidence of "secret projects"

It could be wrong, but I'm confident it's coming around same time. It seems the best timing in a while.

Valve has recently been releasing a game to go with the new hardware. Desk job.arrived when the deck came out, and Alyx trailed the Vive by several years (but it wasn't fully Valve's). So... I guess that's a fairly short track record, but it would make sense to do a game with a major hardware launch.

My schizo take is that Half Life 3 will either be pre-installed on the Steam Machine at launch for customers or the announcement for it will be somewhere as part of the box the console comes in.

The only concrete information about software is an updated version of "Aperture Desk Job" that will take advantage of new features of the Steam Controller. I believe it was an interview of Valve engineers in the "Friends Per Frame" podcast where this was mentioned.

Steam Deck LCD has now been discontinued. Sounds like the current RAM issues played a role.

The LCD model stopped being made when the OLED model was introduced, they just ran out of the old LCD models they had in stock. That's the long and short of it. The real consequences of the RAM shortages will be seen once the OLED model gets a price hike next year, it will be inevitable as Valve is not going to sell newly manufactured Steam Decks OLEDs at a loss.

Are there any good dual screen attachments for the steam deck that would be suitable for DS emulators? All the ones I've seen are either always out of stock or too expensive.

Gee, if only poor GabeN could use some of those billions Steam makes to buy more RAM for Steam Decks instead of buying more yahts... imagine how many more Steam Decks could be made if he did.
This isn't even a matter of money, making ram isn't a matter of mashing minerals together by hand, its a highly specialized process. Valve would of needed to be planning ahead of this by at least 5 years for this to be possible
Might finally be the perfect time to sell mine, considering it's be gathering dust for months after the novelty wore off.
You could, I find it too nice as a portable pc. Its nice to set it up for quake 2 coop with friends or something.

Its your device at the end of the day, but I wouldn't sell mine unless I could get double the purchase price. But if you want to profit from the bubble don't let me stop you.
