If a mod edits the thread name, yeah sure. As someone that just started vermintide, what's the appeal for darktide outside of the 40K theming?

Zombies with gunsVermintide but with modern guns
might as well go full camp then and play https://store.steampowered.com/app/694280/Zombie_Army_4_Dead_War/Zombies with guns
the Left 4 Dead clones are coming full circle
lolno. That setting can eat my entire ass.Vermintide 3: Age of Sigmar Edition
They can try. The last AoS RTS Gee Dubs tried to push failed incredibly hard though. This is a Fatshark creation. Are we in for Vermintide 3: Age of Sigmar Edition after Darktide seemingly was a big fat L?
I don't pay attention to AoS at all but word on the street is that the upcoming edition is introducing Skaven so I'm just putting two and two together.lolno. That setting can eat my entire ass.
From what little I understand, the Skaven have been in there since the beginning. If the chatter my brother and one of his buddies is any sort of correct, they're getting fucked hard in the upcoming edition due to rules changes obsoleting like a third of their possible units - so, business as usual for a Warhammer game.I don't pay attention to AoS at all but word on the street is that the upcoming edition is introducing Skaven so I'm just putting two and two together.
Don't forget how much Skaven ate and shat on most of the factions on the End Times, RIP Lizardmen. From what little I understand, the Skaven have been in there since the beginning. I still retain a (perhaps petty and unreasonable) distaste for the Age of Sigmar setting; even without the shit way that Fantasy got squatted, it still reminds me too much of Fantasy trying to ape 40K in the worst possible manner. So if a potential Vermintide follow-up is made there? Good goddamned luck, try not to make a bug-ridden and unoptimized mess of a game from the word "go" this time, guys.
From what little I've seen of their new lore, the Lizardmen (or Seraphon, which I'll not-quite-grudgingly admit is a pretty cool name if you've got to rename the faction) have been or are being treated decently enough. They went from a reactive force of "get off my goddamned lawn" to a proactive force of "we will show up anywhere, at any time, to fuck Chaos up six ways from Sunday", and still roll up like the massive pile of angry gatormen and the occasional rare Pepe and/or T-Rex they are.Don't forget how much Skaven ate and shat on most of the factions on the End Times, RIP Lizardmen.
I'd say try Darktide if you prefer shooting chaos niggers. At least no gameplay content is paywalled.~snip~
If you bought WoM, try cataclysm. Legend is a cakewalk, Cata is a mosh pit. There isn't an endgame. Get your reds, clear all the difficulties. I think Fatshart was hoping the Chaos Wastes would have more replay value but as a roguelike it's pretty barebones and mediocre. In a vacuum it's ok tho, just not good enough to dump that many hours in.The end-game is also very lackluster - I don't see anything to do besides grinding the same maps on Legend for...what reward, exactly? I like the gameplay, but it's not enough to keep me interested.
