VHS another asymmetric slasher game (free to play) - Surely, this one must be solid after so many failures? Spoilers: the balance sucks and the devs are faggots

Here the biggest question. If he plays VHS, wouldn't this mean he automatically failed at being Almo_BHVR, because we all know he doesn't really play DBD.

I´m never gonna stop using WASD for movement, that fucking faggot is expectional even for movement.

I´m expecting my key tommorow or smth. The STATISTICS have foretold me.

I just noticed he uses WEDR for movement. Who the fuck does that???

I just put my fingers on those keys and it's retarded as fuck. Moving your finger from E to D is a counter-intuitive movement as you have to pull your middle finger towards your pointer and it just about rubs up against your pointer while you're simultaneously holding your hands in a weird position like some old person with fucking arthritis, and if it isn't narrowly missing your pointer then it's essentially hitting the corner of the D key and almost slipping off into the gap between S and D or hitting the top of the D key, so the gap between E and D. It actually puts fucking strain on your fingers and I could seeing it causing long-term damage if done over the course of years or decades. With WASD your hand/fingers rest at a natural and comfortable position and there's no strain. I've heard of boomers using ESDF but who in the fuck is using WEDR?

Even the WAY he plays he has to be a contrarian faggot about it.

Think about that.

Anyway, I still didn't get a key. I'm hoping for a key or surprise open beta/release date announcement soon. I get the feeling either will happen by March to compete with The Ring DLC for Dead by Daylight.

What pisses me off is the Asymetric slasher thing is actually a really compelling and novel concept that can work when executed well. But it's been fucked over in some capacity every time. Really makes me want to bang my head against the wall. It's really obvious to me what works and what doesn't and I'm just some idiot on the internet. Why is it so hard for devs to figure out?

Because balancing an asymm is possibly the hardest thing to handle in a game.
You have an imbalance of players which means you need to make it so the solo is as powerful as the team, and it gets worse and worse with each level of complexity you add to it. I dont think there's been any Asymm that people didnt evenually bounce off of besides DBD, and as anyone can tell you that whole community is a toxic cesspool of entitlement, arguably only kept alive by a new guest horror icon every 3 months.

This argument is brought up a lot and it's not really accurate. The problem isn't "balance is hard" the problem is that the devs are afraid of making the killer/monster powerful. It's really that simple. And they're especially afraid of making the killer seem like they're powerful against casuals. This is why VHS is getting the most hype behind it because the devs are balancing it around competitive squads versus the monster/killer.

I mean that's part of it, but that doesn't mean it isn't more difficult. And DBD also has some rat fuck incompetent devs, so it's hard to tell if they actually know what they're doing or just banging their hammers against random nails.

Plus afaik, DBD doesnt allow the survivors to fight back so when they continually nerf killers into the ground, they can still say killer is stronger technically.

The option is to piss of four customers/players or one customer player.
I don't play the game but I watch some on youtube and 90% of everything youtube recommends is people or groups playing survivors. That's what it looks like to me from the outside, it appears to be the larger draw. Change things up and piss off multiple streamers or a solo player.

Killers might actually be a new strain of the unpaid jannie, the mutation is that they actually pay for their work.

What's happening is that autists love seeing SWF players/streamers trolling killer players and what this is doing is create a negative feedback cycle where retards watch retarded assholes behave like assholes and are then inspired to act like retarded assholes themselves.

It really doesn't help that there are enough Videos with titles like Annoy the Killer till they DC, playing Toxic part 88 , Tilt the Killer and everyone's favorite game Kick the Autistic.

A Killer is a Jannie if they're playing by a survivor "rulebook" which means you must always lose

If you play as a scummy "I'll knock you down and kick your teeth in" Killer you're a tranny Jannie with rage issues and get insulted as such in the postgame chat.

The latter is quite respectable and hopefully VHS gets a Sleepaway Camp collab so i can play as one.
