Video Game Archival Autism / TCRF / Jul / Sonic Retro / And More - Harvest Troon: Friends of Byuu-Near-al town

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
He claims it's a bunch of mostly Chinese IPs trying to grab every file from the website (scraping) to fuel LLM/AI content, which is why he's been blocking archivers for months. How much you believe him after all this is your call.
He’s claiming that the Wayback Machine blasts TCRF with crawl requests every time he tries to unblock it:

Looks like the cat's out of the bag.
FYI. 'teens have been in control this whole time.

Ruining this trannyshit site is our intent. We're going to block random IPs until nobody wastes their time with retarded ideas like "What if I make a Wikipedia about Mario 3 glitched graphics" ever again.

To reiterate:
  • No. You will not get a wiki account.
  • Content will be removed until morale improves.
  • We will hoard all the unreleased ROMs as we like (Fuck that nigger who leaked Spaceworld G/S)
  • Get. A. Fucking. Life.
Sincerely,
TCRF Administration

Always "someone" and "people", does he really think his 30 followers are THAT dim-witted? Just start posting here directly, skip the middleman, you'll even get a little badge to stick out from the crowd like you desperately crave.
If 50 requests per second is enough to make him chimp out, I wonder what pressing shift+F5 a few times will do?

Why does your post make it seem like you're admitting to being one of the Xkeeper's jannies at the end? That part threw me for a loop.

Considering how easy it is to just set up some anti bot check you just know he *loves* having a boogeyman to whine about so he used that as an excuse to block every proxy ever

You don't want to give it to ANYONE. And what does it matter if the people who want it are "hostile" or not? What even defines hostile in your eyes? Currently, you think anyone who wants it is hostile.
He mentioned allowing Wikiteam to archive TCRF a couple years back. Of course though, they aren’t Problematic™.

"i am the captain of the boat"? lmao what is this retard saying? Is he trying to do this meme?

And the site being all over archive.org is great until you realize it's an ever changing, ever updating website that anyone's supposed to be able to edit... and you've blocked every archiver/scraper from making backups of it, including archive.org, effectively meaning that if this goes on indefinitely and/or the site goes kaput tomorrow or Xkeeper spergs out and burns everything, all that content since the last time archivers were working will be lost. Great days ahead for video game preservation, friends.

Also bonus blueskeet I spotted from his account. View attachment 7529655
I mean whoever said it is right. After all we saw, it certainly is treating it like his personal site and not a source people go to often.
XCreeper is most likely seething about this post of mine, which he would only know about because he's obsessively F5'ing his own farms thread, which has only 25 pages. Evidently, Workman doesn't know what cold reading is, or he wouldn't foam in the mouth with his 'um ackshually this is how site ownership works' tranny ogre semantics, and in whichever case, The Fatriarchy already pointed out that Workman's work on TCRF is non-existent.

Furthermore, Workman has no concept of hypotheticals or abstract thinking, considering his Pavlovian response towards anyone simply acknowledging his self-absorbed posts is "lol u mad?". In this case, I would designate Workman an actual nigger, but even ghetto niggers have more cognitive functioning than XCreeper, ergo, he's not even worth of living in da hood.

XCreeper is a waste of blood and organs, I honestly can't think of a less-realized "human" than him. Even saying that he should kill himself would be too kind, because Workman obviously does not enjoy 'living' in even the most basic sense, and he exists solely to walk and curse the earth with his psychopatic self-destruction.

Most of the time that's because a lot of the tricks they used to make things look the way that they did only worked on the hardware/software of the time, and when you go back and try to re-do it, time's marched on. Your only option is to do it exactly how they did it back then, or try to make it work with modern tech. The latter usually results in some finer details being lost.
Case In Point:

It's mind-blowing how devs back in the day were able to perform magnificent feats with old tech and yet to this day devs have issue trying to replicate that with new tech.

even between versions of unreal you find the newer ones incapable of things the previous version had no problem with. the arkham asylum remaster is a good example, the lighting is just awful compared to the original release

Nah, I highly doubt it. Probably just super paranoid....

Since no one’s mentioned it yet, the TCRF Discord recently reopened invites. Anyway, here’s X seething about us forking the site:

You can’t stop people you don’t like from copying TCRF, X. You gave up that right when you decided to put it under CC-BY, whether you realize it or not.

He really thinks he's in some woke animated show (like High Guardian Spice) in which he's the protagonist.

Part of it, i feel, is this stuff just wasn't documented well enough. Companies, the japanese in particular were HEAVILY incentivized to just treat the code as trash after the game was done and dusted for various reasons, mostly down to "i don't want the competition to have my programming tricks", and nobody seeing the value in keeping it around for much more than maybe publishing the game in the US/Europe or the occasional bug fix. So they didn't really treat the data with that much respect. So you end up with tons of scenarios like Toy Story where they have to create it from scratch with no real knowledge of how function A correlates to Jump D

One of the most famous of which (to me, anyway) being when Square Enix deleted the master assets for Kingdom Hearts 1 and had to remake them from scratch for first HD re-release.
