From what I've seen so far, he seems incapable of anything but being MATI over people on the internet he's never met. And despite that being the only thing he can do, he's quite bad at it too, considering how his users are literally being figuratively raped as we speak.
And even WHILE THAT'S HAPPENING, he still tries to play himself up as this untouchable Usenet hackerGOD from the 90s even though his chudproof website's backdoor got hacked by 'teens in less than SEVEN HOURS.
If the pic posted is really what he looks like then he really is a living stereotype.

Nah, just too lazy to make an edit of the troon-in-charge. I am surprisingly still not banned nor have I run into sharty vandalism. The site is working pretty smoothly and people are still making normal edits to pages.

but the link has been removed sadly, i absolutely know it *was* a different server though because i'm pretty sure i combed through it back then and didn't find much of interest. Just as well because i'm sure that they'll fucking comb each and every one looking for people who have never post or reasons to ban people, but god fucking DAMN how many discords are you gonna run?

Unless someone else knows a way, this isn't possible. The referer heading is added by your browser itself and not part of the URL. You can set the headers on requests you send from Javascript, but the Referer header is a Forbidden header that browsers are not supposed to let you override.


So even if you could execute some arbitrary Javascript on someone else's site (which would be naughty), this wouldn't work.

Frankly, the Referer header is an archaism that has a lot of negatives for the user point of view and should be ditched. At the very least it should be convenient to disable from the user's point of view. But I imagine Google would have conniptions if this were so and they have a lot of influence over browser vendors.

So here's an interesting thing the dude probably doesn't know about (see previous comment about tech skills frozen in the early 2000's). Many ISPs these days use something called Carrier Grade NAT. If one knows what NAT is for routers is, this is the same principle but for ISPs. If one doesn't know what NAT is or wants an explanation, Carrier Grade NAT (CGNAT) is a response to the shortage of IPv4 addresses. An ISP bundles up its customers requests and routes them through its only subset of IPv4s to reduce the number of IPv4 addresses they need to buy. Not all ISPs do this but an increasing number are. So if anybody from an ISP that uses this gets IP blocked by this guy, he's blocking everyone else who shares an IP address with them.

Which is what you said but I think a lot of people don't know the detail of CGNAT as it's only been growing in use in recent years. Most people reading your comment just think of it in terms of recycling IP addresses along the time dimension. But actually they're now increasingly being shared simultaneously due to the dubious wonders of CGNAT.

Blocking VPNs is such an old fashioned thing. From back when VPNs were some very obscure thing which people used to evade forum bans. These days anybody who blocks VPNs I suspect of deliberately trying to dox / identify someone's real identity.

EDIT: Fuck, just reached the post by @Jump who already pointed out CGNAT. :D Well, I guess I added a short explanation for those who don't know what it is. :)
