I saw a stream of SF6.
Game is... fun i guess? Ranked matches are a nightmare though.
Near nobody uses that nigger with big knifes or Mai Shinauri, which is pretty strange.

How are the other Metro games, if you've played them?
I'd say mid, more on the positive side. But then again I didn't play them when they came out, much later. Perhaps I missed the "you should have been there" train.

I played them on Xbox and I remember thinking the FOV was awfully narrow in the first game (inb4 console problems). Some clumsiness here and there. But in the end they were more positive than negative experiences. Atmosphere-focused, on the rails with a story. Not shit.

If the premise interests you, and if you think modern games are too unfocused and bloated, you might wanna give them a go. The old Metro games pack is frequently on sale, at least I think it is.

They were just good enough for me to get Exodus just a little after its release when nothing else interested me at the time, and that was money well spent.

I rented that game on the Xbox 360 during spring break and 100% it before returning it. Amazing game, nothing but good memories, even if I don't remember any of it.
How did you get through shop class? It won’t recognize my analog input.

New Metro game incoming fucking finally. It's hard to believe exodus was 7 years ago. Stalker 2 was kind of ass and I don't give a shit about VR.
Not to mention an old 2022 build recently leaked that starred Bourbon back in Moscow. Plus an SDK for Metro Redux that I can't for the life of me figure out how it works. This seems like it's different, according to rumors. Starring Artyom and Anna, for example. If I had to guess given the whole Ukraine thing they might pivot towards a more faithful adaptation of Metro 2035. As in, a scathing critique of the Russian government and its oligarchy and all that stuff. If there's a guy named Bessolov in the trailer you'll know I'm right.

Man, I wish I could get back into Exodus. Loved the gunplay in that. But the first level blows and kills all my interest in playing the rest of it, though.

Exodus was my first experience for the series. I was so used to faster paced shooters at the time that I came very close to quitting. Eventually got used to it and came to really enjoy it. One of the few games where my first impression was wrong.

Hope this game goes back to a mostly underground setting though. Loved the dank atmosphere that the earlier games have.

Speaking of Metro, in the book Metro 2035, the Invisible Watchers were the main antagonists but they were only mentioned a few times in the videogame timeline, particularly in the first few sections of Exodus. Good bet that they'll be the next target here.

There is also a symbol of a Dark One on one of the official 2039 artworks.

Pragmata looked kinda interesting but reviews dropped and

About 6 hours long
Little or no story content
Recycled environments
Feels like a tech demo

Typical Crapcom experience.
When I hear about that game I can only think about the subreddit that was dedicated to lusting over the child from the game and it makes me not want to touch it.

I was kind of disappointed how the open world shit exodus had going on was regulated to 2-3 levels, but it was great that the game's morale system was lenient that time around so you could kill bandits, murderers, and people who deserve it. It was also nice to see Artyom get the ending he deserved.

I saw that Artyom allegedly isn't the protagonist this time around, that's good. Hopefully they soft reboot this shit with someone else to keep it fresh.

Makes perfect sense with the good ending of Exodus. Wonder if that means we're making a return to the Metro, and if we'll be playing through vignettes like the DLCs or focusing on a single protagonist.

https://store.steampowered.com/sale/warhammer-classics

Lots of games returned to Steam that got delisted or got a release on there for the first time.
Some were already available on GOG, not sure how the adjustments to modern OS is different for the Steam releases.
All of those worth a play today are rightfully abandonware for solid/almost 2 decades. I'll wake back up when they decide to revive Eternal Crusade and actually polish it. I hella regret not jumping on that game until about 2 months before it got sunset.

So, I'm at a GameStop today. I want to buy an Xbox 360 game. The store clerk could not locate the 360 games in their locked drawers. Apparently management shuffled inventory around. Either way, what a waste of 15 minutes.
