And so farewell Exoprimal, I enjoyed you dearly. Just the endless grind ahead which doesn't appeal to me, unlike the hours I spent punching velociraptors in the face with my robot fist.

On the flip side Remnant 2 is coming out soon and the reviews are positive across the board. Basically improved and made better in every single way from the original.

Also even has a hilariously bad polygon review that just complains about the setting and how hot it is in California.

Valve is 100% private owned by Gabe and has absolutely no need for the Blackrock type loans to meet payroll so no one has any leverage over him. Its is kind of amazing, the most free man in the world is a nerd that just wanted a better way to patch his games to the players.
He and the rest of old core Valve came out of Microsoft and they're living the MS Xbox dream.

So i bit the bullet and got a Xbox Series S, for what i plan to use for it (playing old Xbox games or coop games on the tv with some friends), for the 249$ i payed for it, not bad deal, smaller than i expected. I like the idea of different SKUs for people, being spending the day getting some game pass games on it and getting some games on the Xbox Summer sale like the older COD games since i heard the player base on those exploded back into popularity
>oh why not get a series x, why do people pay for the cheaper models of Xbox or PS5 just pay the extra money for the "FULL" system
because some of us don't want to pay double for a console with features we'll never use. I hate this all or nothing mentally some people have with console variations, coming from a PC player i welcome it. Gives more choice to the buyer.

Here is a free version of Diablo 1 with the Hellfire expansion. It's free safe and legit. I already played it the other day. It's how I got the files to add Diablo to my Miyoo Mini Plus. It uses the devilutionX port. I didn't even know there was a port for Diablo that allowed it to be played in higher resolutions and on modern systems. I bought it on GOG a few years ago. You don't even have to install it. Just unzip it and play. It's really cool Diablo looks pretty good in 1080p. Though it seems like the character moves slower I believe that's because of higher resolution. You can see more of the map. You can play it in 640x480 if you want.

Gabe said the way to beat piracy was to make the games available and easy to get. If you have internet access. He wasn't completely right because there are still people pirating games. But the PC was the first platform to embrace the digital download trend. It would take consoles a little longer. Though digital downloads have their own issues.

Praise lord Gaben.
but here's the important question: does it play skyrim?
No, it can't. It doesn't have the power to play anything past ps1.

Honestly, if you want to play older xbox titles wouldn't a model with a disc drive make more sense? Sometimes old games on digital storefronts still end up being very expensive.

to be fair with how retro game prices are now, and the fact like 99% of backwards compatiable games are on the xbox store, im willing to take the loss of like 5 games than pay out the ass for retro OG xbox/360 games from a retro game seller. the only one i know i cant do is the orange box, but i have those games in a much better form on PC. and many of the retro games are cheaper digital than in person (IE, timesplitters 2/FP, Panzer Dragoon Orta, KOTOR 1/2)

Xbox and 360 games are cheap as fuck in retro shops. SNES and Playstation are the speculator fuck zone. I want a PC copy of nemesis, but I don't want to pirate. $70 for a used copy.

Dave the Diver is pretty enjoyable. It's a weird mishmash of genres, but the overall game is pretty competent.
The cutscenes have, as the kids say, soul.

I've been looking for so long for this game. I first saw the demo and was hooked. Finally managed to get a rom of this game for the PS2 and beat all the cups.

It was really bad. The cars can collide into you and throw you spinning. The cars handle like shit. The last character is just a reskin of another character. Well I saw everything there was to see and I am satisfied.

huh, I was always a pedantic shit about calling disc based games images, but I suppose they do qualify as roms. Just fucking huge ones.

That fucker RWhiteGoose showed up in my recommended youtube videos but the topic was something I'm mildly interested in: Wave Race 64. It was just about the first track(Sunny Beach) and the world records on it. When I saw the old(as in many years old) world record I paused the video and thought "huh, I can do that, I'm good at wave race". I don't know shit about WR64 tech and only ever used the first guy, but I played for 90 minutes using the fat dude(equivalent to Bowser in MK) and, well... I'm roughly 1.7 seconds behind but my fastest individual lap is faster than his.

What surprised me is that I actually got noticeably worse the more I played, my top 3 runs on the leaderboard happened within the first 10 attempts and before I started to strategize.

The course is a bit over a minute long in total and I played it maybe 90 times in a row(that includes restarts). From this I learned that speedrunning absolutely blows and is only for idiots.
