Speaking of Monster Hunter; I picked up Rise on Switch recently, and I was hoping you guys might have some advice. I remember being pretty fond of Tri on the Wii back in the day, but World... tried to get into it twice, just wasn't my style.

What do you guys think about Rise? Any suggestions on weapons and such?
If you're looking for an experience similar to Tri, Rise is definitely not that. Best way to put it is things feel streamlined and a lot faster paced. Every weapon has a counter, even Hammer. Also, Sunbreak has possibly the worst RNG upgrade system in the series.

Does anyone else here have a chronic Steam backlog?

Why can’t I stop autistically replaying modded setups of Fallout 3 and Skyrim? I fucking loved Disco Elysium. But I keep going back to Bethesda slop like a brainwashed moron.

Am I the only one?!
The Steam Deck helped but yes. I will play about 20 minutes of something new I've wanted to tackle. Close it and then load street fighter back up

Yooka Laylee is getting a remaster and it seems they're turning it into the game it (more or less) should've been.
I doubt this will adress some of the level design issues and one of my personal biggest gripes has been the designs of Yooka and Laylee themselves, they still haven't grown on me.

Great, now it's not just Nintendo annoying Vimm's Lair to remove their stuff.

For those of you familiar with Yuzu emulation, how do you fix corrupted shaders? Would that be removing the cache storage? Is there any issue with doing so, or will I just have to recompile them the next time I open the game?

I've likely said it once a while back (probably during the Yuzu debacle), but you can put 100% of the blame on modern-day pirates & emulator users because they simply refuse to follow the good old rule of staying low-profile. They're too focused on sticking to the companies they pirate for their morally-right excuse that they fail to realize that highlighting piracy as an option on social media and other websites populated by normalfags (most often for online clout), makes it that much easier for the companies to shut down their favorite vaults.

100%. I remember sometime last year, there was this tweet about HShop that went semi-viral. A bunch of people were telling him to take it down before Nintendo saw it, but he refused because he really wanted that Twitter up-point dopamine.

Played pirated Warno and it's really good. A nice balance between realism and RTS, with leaning towards arcady gameplay. Or maybe it's just me bacuse units do have different armour values, weapons, spotting ranges etc. so it seems to have some depths to it.
Sort of sterilized, almost "gentlemanly" view of Cold War turning conventionally hot in Europe in 1980s.
Huge masses of tanks, supported by mechanized infantry, special forces, guided missiles, hellicoters, aircrafts, the full might of 2 modern combined arms hammers trying to outmaneuver each other in Fulda gap fields in a matter of just days.

You know what a Yooka-Laylee remaster needs? A GIANT billboard in the middle of the hub world with a big apology to JonTron for trying to help ruin his life over whatever pearl-clutching bullshit du jour they got worked up about years ago.

This game isn't even 10 years old and they are already remastering? Is playtonic that desperate for money?

Looks decent, though I'm skeptical it'll have the same dark and gritty atmosphere the first game had.

Summer Game Fest happened today.
I just watched it. By watched I mean I jumped around quite a bit cause it looked depressing as fuck.
Tons of gay looking indie games that were what I'd describe as art projects more than games.
Blumhouse the company famous for making awful horror movies is now going to be making awful horror games.

Only highlights for me were games we already knew about. Kingdom come etc...
Pretty much what you would expect from Geoff. Basically games for faggots by faggots.

I found out the fan-made Icewind Dale 2 "Enhanced Edition" patch finally came out and I don't remember if the game was always this brutally hard or if the modders fucked with the difficulty because they are le heckin' epic h4rdc0r3 gamers.

I'm going full bore with every buff I have available in normal encounters and just getting slaughtered, even with the difficulty turned all the way down. It's not even close.

Oh good, it looks like they fixed the zombie movement. It looked bizarre before they magically manifested a publisher a week before launch

Related but I remember normies getting Z-library shut down with viral TikTok’s captioned like “POV Get any book for free!!!1!”. It’s extra infuriating when you know they most likely found out about things like hshop and zlib thirty seconds ago from their algorithm and are only mentioning them to chase clout because they’re trending

My last console I got was an x360, I want to get a modern console to play UFC because they're my favorite fighting games. I'm trying to consider PS5 v Xbox, is there any consensus on which has the better exclusive this Gen?

Apparently Black Myth Wukong, the Chinese Action game that is not a gacha/live service, has a physical edition but with no disks. Truly the Chinks are beyond retarded at this point.
