This is probably the worst fucking gameplay teaser I have seen, the game looks boring, the graphics are a joke especially the cutscene, probably a key example of how you can have 4k textures and models but it doesn't mean shit when your effects are terrible and your environment is completely static. Dumb ass AI, boring gameplay, great work Ubisoft another L.

I will say I think the voice actors did a good job though.

Edit: Lol the comments are something.

I watched the video and I don't see what so horrible about it. Yeah, the AI stands around doing nothing, and the game looks like generic ubishit, but it's not Forspoken or Suicide Squad levels of bad.

The flat tranny looking main character looks even worse than the Forspoken nigger

This was my impression. Slightly baffled at the response as the masses usually buy this bland crap. Did people suddenly develop standards? The thermal detonator scene was Mass Effect: Andromeda levels of bad though.

- ubisoft open world slop people have been shitting on for years
- dead IP everyone watching in horror how it's poor corpse gets raped by lucasarts over and over
- everyone getting sick and tired of DEI shit
- great markting due to the yasuke shitshow (any PR is good PR after all).

there's also the funny effect of niggercattle being niggercattle, they're slow and happy with slop, but they don't think for themselves and just follow what's "cool" at the moment. now imagine what happens when us shitting on ubisoft suddenly becomes "cool" in the mainstream.

Looks like a PS4 game, and the main character is DEI level shit with a voice action that's annoying as hell.
Hard pass.

Well fuck. Earth Defense Force 6 has released to mostly negative reviews on Steam, requiring Epic Games Store for multiplayer.

This is on top of early reviews saying it's mostly EDF 5 content (which is par for the course) and shitty DLC spread over multiple versions of the game (it's minor stuff like skins, but still annoying).

Yeah it's unfortunate and sorta soured my mood. The Epic Games client was installed in my desktop, and after uninstalling it a while after, the game wouldn't launch any longer (even if solely playing in singleplayer mode). Dumb question but considering I heard a few horror EGS stories, is the client in itself really nasty enough that a simple uninstall doesn't fully remove it?

As for the game itself, the plot is time travel shenanigans where aliens decide to send many new enemy types to the past in order to win the war against mankind

Humble Games, who I think are the publishing arm of Humble Bundle, layed off everybody.

Given how their games look, it seems like nothing of value was lost?

They might "feel seen and respected", the same can't be said for their games.
>Open their twitter
>Non stop jew and yankee politics
Why do they always do this? I don't recall last I encountered political speech in real life, and even trump vs clinton had a what, 43% voter turnout?

I feel like this is what happens to every single game I'm actually looking forward to. It drops at twice the cost I'd like, whatever, then gets review bombed and I find myself thinking "thank fuck I dont have to deal with this game after all" rather than "aww damn"

I don't get it. How do developers not understand that if a video game makes me an account, especially a ching chong games account it gets a negative review, how many times does this have to be repeated. I don't care if you want to more easily add cross platform play console users are niggers and I don't want to play with them anyways.

It's one of the reasons I cancelled XBox Gamepass. Nearly every game involves creation of an account, or is stuff that has been given away for free in the past on EGS. If you want to see bullshit, look at the interaction with Battle.net. You CANNOT shut down BN if you install D4 through Gamepass at all.

I know that feel. It happened with Pacific Drive and Lunacid too, but with politics instead of account problems. I'd say this applies to Stellar Blade, Helldivers 2, and Space Marine 2, but Stellar Blade and Helldivers 2 were dead on arrival for me due to Soyny, and Space Marine 2 the troon was revealed long before release.

I'm expecting this to happen to Star Trucker. I hope not, but it seems like that kind of game.

As with the previously mentioned woke politics, I think at this point the devs know people are over this account bullshit, which is why they hide it until release. EDF 6 had no mention of it during the pre-order period, and a few hours after release. I'm guessing it was added to the store page after the negative reviews/refund requests.

Video that got reccomended to me last night. Amazing how radically different (aside from the grungy, grindhouse look and zythetic's soundtrack) the game was as a standalone mod compared to the retail version.

I give them the benefit of doubt they simply didn't know better. remember those are nip devs and if you look at the games they're not the most technical marvel to begin with.
not an excuse but consequence is they fucked up hard, I'm sure there are quite a few former helldiver players looking for a replacement/new FOTM and now get hit with the same shit a second time.

anyway summary here, don't wanna doublepost/bloat the thread: https://kiwifarms.st/threads/earth-defense-force-series.58352/post-18934891

the horrorstories are mostly what a POS the software itself is (back when I was still using it I had to clean up the installation twice otherwise I wouldn't even see the library after it fucked itself, "just reinstall" didn't work since the issue was the cache you'd have to delete manually; now I just use the webstore + legendary for the free games), and some questionable datamining (store was run by the steamspy fag), mostly to boost the epic store.

however you should be safe since it doesn't install the store, only epic online services which is it's own thing. if and what that leaks I don't know, but EOS is in plenty of games already so timmy and tencent already have that data anyway. if you didn't install the store yourself or it got piggybacked via another game it shouldn't be on your system (you can check under installed programs).

I find these old phone games really interesting. That looks neat.
I really enjoyed the iOS game i Love Katamari; it was my first experience with the series and even though it had five (later six) levels it was enough to later convince me to buy the full game when it came out on Steam.

It annoys me how fast things get deprecated on the iPhone.
