God the comments on any video to do with Lumines are pathetic. lot's of 'oh it made me so emotional I cried like a faggot' posts. It's a puzzle game with music and visual effects the obscure the puzzle board. Some of the tracks are ok, most are annoying filler.
Fuck off with the 'emotion' shit.
Also.
Rez only had one good level. Fight me.

Area 4 was a banger.

I've finally gotten around to playing the System Shock series. Recently finished the original 1, great game.
Going through 2 right now and it's different but I also still really like it.
Am I retarded if it took me until Hydroponics to realize something's wrong with Polito

Killed my first player in Arc Raiders last night after several rounds going in planning to but deciding against it either because I had a lot of good loot or the people were just too nice. Would have felt very guilty had he not immediately launched into an expletive filled screaming rant after I downed him, which brought me back to the good old days of early multiplayer games. Woke up this morning to him leaving a message on my Steam profile saying I should kill myself and that he'd sexually assault my mom.

All this to say I'm probably gonna be killing more people because it was fucking hilarious. Not the nice ones though.

Good to see that Dead by Daylight isn't the only Steam game that makes people comment on your profile in autistic rage.

Considering he was using a free kit and didn't even have any good loot he was unreasonably angry.

Random scattered stoned thoughts about gaming:
Survival-type mechanics are cheap and slop. Crafting, randomly generated worlds, stuff like that is often just really boring ways the devs try to get more "game" out of their games.

While games like NetHack, Minecraft, Dwarf Fortress, and many more, have clever and impressive mechanics, tons of games use "survival" type shit as a yuge crutch, relying on cheap randomization of uber basic terrain, then calling it a gayme.

Artistically the survival games are so fucking cringe too. Its lowest common denominator shit. But this is also prevalent in most of gaming ATM. When I look at modern games like Overwatch or Marvels or wahtever, jesus christ how childish and regressive art has become in gaming. I would feel fucking embarassed if i were to play that cartoon cringe childish bullshit dude

While older games could be pretentious and kind of "goth" (which can be cringe in its own way), games like Quake/Doom and later half life, San Andreas, Deus Ex, was so much cooler than the corporate Twitch lowest-common-denominator SHIT which is gaming today.

I feel fucking embarassed when i look at games like valorant, overwatch, marvels, LoL, etc.

There really is a low-IQ impotence in all of gaming i feel. it wasnt for retards as much before tbh.

Lol no not retarded. Half the reason this game went cult classic despite being unpolished, unfinished, unbalanced and bugridden was the plot and the writing. I hadn't played more than 15 minutes of SS1 at the time (mouselook wasn't yet hacked in) and damn near pissed my pants when
I AM SHODAN
blared in my headphones as I stared into that face.

People have reported having various levels of panic attack and/or screaming out loud
because you can't leave the 'cage'

You running the SCP mod?

The what mod? No. Outside of subtitles and NewDark I haven't modified the game at all.
Which coincidentially I have just finished. It's pretty good but I think the first was better balanced. I think there's a big discussion to be had on the demerits of having a lockpick/hacking skill in a game like this where it completely trivializes resource management(because you'll just be getting loads of them by hacking crates) and exploration(because sidegrade areas you'd be expected to go and find codes for can simply be hacked open).

Downloaded Where Winds Meet last night and am pleasantly surprised by the competency of the combat. I remain skeptical but I'm having fun for now.
Summary of experience: Chinese is very unpleasant to listen to, but I learned Tai Chi from spying on a bear and got my ass handed to me by an illiterate child monk who mocked me by saying "You're lucky your dad is gone so he doesn't beat you more!"

Paradox Interactive just fired colossal order from City Skylines II likely due to their total mismanagement of the sequel. Who will be taking their place you might ask? Iceflake Studios a little know fully owned Paradox development studio who made the following games.

Surviving Aftermath.

I don't have much hope in these guys fixing City Skylines.

Hi City Builders,

After more than a decade of successful collaboration across numerous titles that we’re both immensely proud of, Paradox Interactive and Colossal Order have mutually decided to pursue independent paths. The decision was made thoughtfully and in the interest of both teams - ensuring the strongest possible future for the Cities: Skylines franchise.

Development of the Cities: Skylines franchise will move to a different studio under Paradox Interactive's leadership and Colossal Order looks forward to building on its experience across new projects and exploring new creative opportunities. Both companies are excited for what the future holds while remaining deeply appreciative of our shared history and grateful to the Cities’ community.

“For over fifteen years, the Cities Series and our partnership with Paradox have been a defining part of our journey at Colossal Order. When we set out to create Cities in Motion, we never imagined it would grow to become a cherished franchise with a passionate, loyal community of millions of players around the world. We want to thank everyone at Paradox for their trust and collaboration, and of course the community for the incredible support that has made Cities what it is today. We’re confident that the franchise will continue to thrive under Paradox's leadership. As we move forward, we’re excited to channel our experience, creativity, and passion into new projects that align with our long-term vision.” Mariina Hallikainen, CEO of Colossal Order

“Our partnership with Colossal Order is one of the longest-running relationships we've enjoyed here at Paradox. Four games, dozens of expansions, and a community of millions of Cities players; it's remarkable how much we've achieved together. We have deep respect for the Colossal Order team and we look forward to seeing where they go from here. On our end, we’re eager to continue working for the passionate Cities: Skylines community and make sure to provide them with more content and new experiences.” Mattias Lilja, Deputy CEO of Paradox Interactive

This means the Cities: Skylines franchise will move to a new developer, and we’re pleased to announce that Iceflake Studios will be taking the lead. Based in Tampere, Finland, Iceflake Studios is one of Paradox Interactive's internal management game studios and is hard at work getting into the nuts and bolts of Cities: Skylines II. Specifically, Iceflake will take over all existing and future development for Cities: Skylines II, including free updates for the current version, continuous work on the Editor and console editions, as well as future expansions and content packs. This means that Cities players will be able to look forward to new updates and content drops for many years.

Colossal Order will implement a few additional updates before leaving, including the Bike Patch, which includes the long-awaited addition of bikes, Old Town buildings, bug fixes, and general improvements to the game. A Beta implementation of the asset support for the Editor, meaning access to Asset Mods, will also be available before year-end. Iceflake Studios will take the helm for all development from the start of 2026.

“Taking the reins on a genre-leading franchise like Cities is an immense honor and a great responsibility. There's a huge, loyal community out there and I want to say to every member of that community that we will humbly carry this legacy with respect, together with all of you. Iceflake has the capacity and capability to get started. We have a decade worth of experience from making city building and management games. We see a strong foundation and so much potential waiting to be unleashed and I can't wait to show you what we have planned for the next chapter of this incredible game.” Lasse Liljedahl, Studio Manager of Iceflake Studios

Both teams are working together to ensure that players will experience a smooth transition. Iceflake will introduce themselves in the coming weeks and share their plans in the near future, so you know what to expect next!

>That event is from 2
>15 minutes when it takes much longer to reach that event

At least get your shit right...

Is there an update on them? I Know They got DMCAd by the STALKER 2 devs but I'm curious if it was bullshit or real.
The DMCA was real. The MISERY dev had one STALKER asset in the files which never appeared in the game, but the dev says was put in years ago when the game was just a little project and he forgot to remove it. There was also one song in the game that the MISERY dev covered, but GSC held the license for. That, apparently, was it, but GSC also very strongly worded a message to not reference STALKER in any way.

Considering how many STALKER-esque games borrow assets and reference STALKER without any issues, I think this was more political on GSC's part because the dev is apparently a zigger.

I'm having fun with it too. Has a very "Fuck it lets just have fun" feel with all the side quests, skills (pretty much every ability from Kung Fu Hustle), and NCPS.

Where the Winds Meet also highlights the difference between East and West when you give each a character creator.

I can't stop laughing at this image. The Palword Dev's nailed eastern players.
