Bought Shadows of Doubt back before it added non-binary shit to the game. Did some light editing to the files and it's better now;

Speaking of games from the 90s, most people never heard of it, but Dink Smallwood's latest official iteration, DinkHD, is still getting patches some ~28 years after the original was released. And there are still people making mods for it. Few, and very slowly, but there are some.

God the comments on any video to do with Lumines are pathetic.
Well you're going to get a lumines comment...

The new version showed up on GamePass a couple of years ago and I decided to play one game, just one.

And I did. Turns out I was still decent at it,
>SS1
>That event is from 2
>15 minutes when it takes much longer to reach that event

At least get your shit right...
Give him a break, it was a while since the game came out and memories of a vidya starts to become fuzzy over time and SS2 was released 26 years ago.

Speaking of GSC, a year after the release of STALKER 2, the Prosecutor General's Office of Russia decided to recognize GSC Game World as an “undesirable organization” in Russia (source). Promoting and financially supporting GSC will lead to legal problems for Russians. Streaming or purchasing STALKER 2 may also lead to problems.

My plan of playing The Legend of Zelda: The Minish Cap tonight was thrown out the window because my 8bitdo SN30 Pro is now doing the "throwing bad input" game, like it thinks the R2 button is now "right".

Some cursory Google searching says that this might be caused by dust or something causing wires to get crossed internally and recommends internal cleaning. I'll be purchasing a T6 screwdriver to crack it open and see, but this isn't the first controller this has happened to.

edit: seems this was because it was in SDL mode, but I still ordered that screwdriver anyway. By the time I figured out the issue I wasn't interested in playing a game anymore.

I wanna tell everyone about No Players Online but it's hard to because the game got DMCA'd from Steam shortly after it's launch. It even has a neat ARG going on right now that's kinda fucked since they won't be able to update the game.

It's still on Itch.Io! But I know for 99% people I might as well tell them the game is on Neptune, they're not going to buy anywhere else than Steam.

What is the game?
It's basically the expansion this concept game that was free that has gonna around five years ago? I dunno? I personally just learned about it's past when I saw it released on a piracy site (I did buy it!)
It's a sort of time capsule of 90s computing mixed with a creepy pasta. You find an old computer and while messing around with it, find this abandoned CTF first person game that has a dark secret tied to it. It's really lovely. It's about 4 hours so you can play it in a evening. It's not super scary and doesn't have jumpscares all over the place.

Stalker 2 is complete crap, nothing of value was lost.

might get a Switch 2 next year, I hope a new 3d mainline mario game is in development but i’m not Optimistic

Lol no not retarded. Half the reason this game went cult classic despite being unpolished, unfinished, unbalanced and bugridden was the plot and the writing. I hadn't played more than 15 minutes of SS1 at the time (mouselook wasn't yet hacked in) and damn near pissed my pants when
I AM SHODAN
blared in my headphones as I stared into that face.
People have reported having various levels of panic attack and/or screaming out loud because you can't leave the 'cage'
that's... clearly not SS1.

this is how you meet her on SS1, the hacked version of her that is.

Why was it DMCA'd?

Hey wasn't there a thread here somewhere for kiwis to show off the games they were making or am I making that up? Can anyone point me to it, I can't seem to find it.

I got a good deal on a handheld emulator and wanna play some old ps1 rpgs but I don’t have unlimited free time so I have to commit to one at a time or I’ll never finish any of them, help me pick one:

:disagree:>FF7
:agree:>FF8
:politisperg:>FF9
:lunacy:>Parasite Eve
:informative:>Legend of Dragoon
:optimistic:>Xenogears
Parasite eve is an excellent game to play during Christmas season. I plan on playing Xenogears during the season since one of my favorite Christmas past times is to play through a game. Been doing it since 97 with Goldeneye and FFVII.
