I avoid the games produced by Annapurna Interactive. Ellison's dyke daughter keeps asking her dad for money to fund her company. All she wants to do is produce that type of indieshit game.
Found out about Starship Troopers Ultimate Bug War last night and it is helluva great homage to the franchise down to live action propaganda done perfectly. And they let you play as a bug too. View attachment 8978397

I just stumbled upon White Knuckle because Steam recommended it to me, the Demo is really fun. I won't lie got a little disapointed learning that a Troon is lead developer, but then I remembered why should I be shocked that a MAN made a video game.
Gonna play the demo some more, maybe buy it when it's on sale but I don't know if the mechanics will stay interesting to me past an hour.
Edit: Yeah I already zoned out. I think it'd be great though if they made a Mountain Climbing game based on this. I don't want to stare at ugly lo-fi visuals for hours. Cairn might be more up my alley.

I will say that the game varies it's gameplay with gimmicks, each zone feels very different, zone 1/2 are pure climbing because of the flood of souls chasing you but afterwards you have more ground movement, there's some more direct monster conflicts, there's platforming, there's indoor exploration not time pressured. It genre shifts a little bit.

She's realized that corpos can't be threatened anymore so she's instead grifting true believers like queer coastal hipster indie developers who think they're owning the chuds by hiring her to tell them to make their games ugly and gay.
She never left, she's just trying to be relevant again and everyone's falling for it again. Her recent tweets bragging about being at gdc make this obvious. Same with mixtape, they're just revitilizing the same playbook where they throw out rage bait to get free publicity. It's a shame outrage sells so well because the bait is being taken.
