dont be a male slutI got the bad ending in Witcher III. Total bullshit, I made all the right choices.
Everyone is playing the new Animal Crossing and DOOM ETERNAL, while I’m still stuck playing Final Fantasy X for the PS2.
I’m not old, but I feel old.
- First off, they don't turn their PlayStation off. Ever. That fucker is on all night and all day, just running. It makes my skin crawl. I turn it off after they go to bed.
- They have this really nice controller charging station, it's cool stuff! They never dock their controllers after finishing a session with a game. Then bitch and moan about the controllers never having enough battery.
- Monetization has turned them into the kind of addicts that 90s parents could only imagine in their worst nightmares. The packs and skins are more exciting than the recycled gamepla- oh I guess that just clicked with me.
- Single-player is fucking dead. If it doesn't have multiplayer, it's not a video game.
- These kids have no clue how to operate a computer and zero proficiency with electronics. A bit broad here, but damn these walled gardens of Apple and Android (lesser) have stripped away any useful skills that could be acquired passively.
They seem to be designed to be left on for long periods of time but I always try to turn any computer/device off at least once every 24 hours if at all possible. Bringing a system back to zero is usually a good move for continued system health.Aren't PS4's designed to be always on? Nintendo's been doing that since the Wii era. Totally agree with you about the stupid fuckers and their never charged controllers though, the same thing happens with my idiot cousin.
Cutesy art style and lore with some weird out of place creepy shit. Plus it's japanese. Why out of any game franchise does Kirby attract so many troons, I just don't get it.
I had younger siblings do that. Not knowing that they're prolonging the life expectancy of their consoles.First off, they don't turn their PlayStation off. Ever. That fucker is on all night and all day, just running. It makes my skin crawl. I turn it off after they go to bed.
Certainly an important lesson to be learned for anything a child has that goes to waste because they're not conscious of their actions. Reading the previous poster's message about how these kids play these consoles also makes me sad inside too, and I came from the days of the Atari.I had younger siblings do that. Not knowing that they're prolonging the life expectancy of their consoles.
I learned that PS4 and Xbox One has standby mode like a computer by default. That amazed me; I could have a game in the system and continue where I left off. Provided it's single player and I don't completely shut off the console.
Turn off your consoles when they're not at use; your consoles and electricity bill will thank you.
Actually no it's not, turning on and off shit's what causes the most stress, especially for modern electronics which don't have much in terms of moving parts. This is why the Centennial Light has its own dedicated power supply for example, it doesn't matter if it's on or off that much what matters is the initial expansion from it being turned on or off is what damages it. Granted the difference is not that big so it's not worth keeping a a console on all the time just because you want to have it last longer. But by the same token it's like not getting damaged to any major degree, worry about shit like electrical consumption, not that. As long as it's entering sleep mode I don't think it's worth worrying over, and if it's not you should set it up so that it does then you don't have to worry about it as much. They seem to be designed to be left on for long periods of time but I always try to turn any computer/device off at least once every 24 hours if at all possible. You're comparing a computer with random access memory to a filament light bulb? I appreciate what you are suggesting and in the case of a filament bulb you are correct.Actually no it's not, turning on and off shit's what causes the most stress, especially for modern electronics which don't have much in terms of moving parts.
