I already knew it was the case, but it's become unabashedly obvious I need to get a new PC if I want to actually play anything remotely current. Got Ark Survival Evolved (something I've wanted to try for a long time) from the Steam sale and it took 3+ hours just to download and it was an unplayable slideshow.

Wish I knew how to build my own PC so I know exactly what I need to get instead of potentially spending a grand on a pre-built model. Hell I don't even about specs and graphics cards and shit. Despite my age I'm weirdly boomer-like with my computer tech knowledge...
i mean there are youtube channels for that. even i finally got around to building a pc after learning how to do it, and it can game alright

This site allows you to pick together a PC and it will tell you both the price and if things aren't compatible. There's also completed lists/guides at various price points.

You don't have to order through them(that only works in north america) but you can create a list and pick those components up yourself from more local online retailers. If you have any questions about one product over another or if a certain thing is good then google will lead you to an eternal battlefield of overly detailed sperging about any and all questions you might have.

If there's only two youtube videos in russian reviewing the product then you're either about to make a bargain or a mistake.

I'm just starting Pathfinder Kingmaker, but the game is giving me big time woke vibes. Does this persist throughout the whole game, or am I just being a fag?

Probably both honestly.

So uh.

I now have a necromancer living in my fortress. I don't know if I should be happy about this or terrified.

It may just be the video games? I haven't played many tabletop inspired vidya games besides Baldur's Gate. For the actual D&D and Pathfinder games, they aren't particularly woke unless you introduce more homebrew stuff I suppose. The community at large though? Yeah there's a lot of wokeness in there unfortunately.

I'm lucky that I know at least a half dozen people who have built their own. Last year my tiny alienware pc died. Went kaput. I also had similar problems toward the end too. Even running skyrim was shit. I ended up just building my own with a little help and it's the best decision I ever made. Look up youtube videos, look up specs that fit with what you want. Make sure you get parts from a reputable site and cross-reference prices. Putting them all together is kind of like legos, really. Just with more wires. Also pretty colored fans make things run better and don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

FFVII Remake is probably one of the more boring things I've experienced recently. Everything about it besides the visual fidelity was so hollow and mindless it's shocking to me that anyone thought it was good.

We are about 2 and a half weeks from Sonys other big game - Ghost of Tsushima. No one is talking about it as far as I know. ND's fuck up with TLOU2 is eclipsing what appears to be a solid looking game.

So, Mixer is dead.

Shocking,
A month in and it was nothing but battle royale and fortshite. If I watch gaming anything anymore it's 80s/90s retro games or new games made to be like retro.
Modern multiplayer shit is shit. Some hairless little bastards saw me looking at Twitch last summer at McDonald's and challenged me to a Fortshite game. I hope they have Covid now.

A few people I was watching pre-woke metoo all men are rapists era Twitch have completely killed their channels by trying to do Dead by Daylight fulltime and I told them it was a mistake.

I hope the physical version of this is not expensive. If not, I’ll just to try to emulate this somehow.
Great game for early 2000’s kids out there.

I’m not sure if this is the right place to ask this or not, but I recently found my old DS and I’m wondering if anyone has recommendations for a good quality (but affordable) flash cart?

Used games for it are hard to come by in my area, and I’m not super interested in paying $60 or more for games over 15 years old.

I remember having this game as a kid, but lacked a controller with analog sticks (direction pad only). So I'm sat there thinking this game is broken because it required the left stick to move and the right to swing the net/bat. Only a year or two later did I discover this...great game.

So the Smash brothers scandal has apparently scared nintendo shitless, Japan issued a statement within a few hours that's how serious this shit is(the only time they issued a statement that quickly was when their live presentations bombed with their audience).

I've kind of got a feeling that the party is fucking over and they're going to go full Draconian again and start censoring or refusing to publish questionable shit. Because this is like Disney being Found out that it associated with a group of pedophiles that they endorsed....except it's Nintendo. This is a big fortnite oof to their cultivated family friendly brand image.

This is a bigger deal than the Switch Joycons(that they're still in court over).

On one hand, PF:K seems to get a bit woke in spots. The barbarian chick you (probably, assuming you're Good/Neutralish) start with in party is just over-the-top stronk womyn right down to her backstory (and honestly she's not even that good a barbarian), the LN fighter lady also smacks of various woke-ish talking points (fuck religion, fuck people who tell me I'm pretty, etc.) and she just outright sucks... handful of other moments that kind of made me roll my eyes. Does that ruin the game for me? Not really. What ruins the game is shit like having to chase that fucking asshole gnome down an old mineshaft filled with venomous spiders and crap and there are NO FUCKING ANTIDOTES TO LOOT and if you didn't come with a sack full of the damned things, well, FUCK YOU, player. I just fucking stopped playing at that point, and I probably should grit my teeth and pick PF:K back up again (forewarned this time). But seriously, what absolute asshole sets a player up like that?

I have to brush up on my Zelda history.

Growing up, I only knew about A Link To The Past and Link’s Awakening as the first time I heard about the series. It wasn’t until when I was starting in university did I learn about Majora’s Mask and Ocarina of Time.

Now I just found out today about The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess.

And that’s supposed to be the more critically acclaimed version of Zelda games since Ocarina of Time.

All this time, I thought it was Wind Waker.

Why are there so many Zelda games, Kiwis?

So Turn 10 banned the Confederate Flag from Forza. Shame all those General Lee designs have to be ruined just so the company can give the impression that they care. They certainly didn't show with the years they let General Lee design exist in the franchise.

It's interesting how it seems that the Confederate flag has become more reviled than the Nazi flag in recent weeks.

I mean goddamn, how long will it be before shows like the Dukes of Hazard have all traces of that flag erased?
