Bioware is on the chopping block for sure. Ubisoft is probably going to experience a hostile takeover as soon as AC Shadows bombs. I predict the Guillemot family will be pushed out for completely ruining the brand once that happens, I don't think the entire company is going to collapse though.

if that one leak is true they're moving some stuff to a new company to get that tencent money
if not or the deal falls through they're probably going the way of THQ and getting chopped up for cheap.

Agreed. Ubisoft is almost too big to fail in away but if AC: Shadows bombs then a buyout or some sort of restructuring is on the table.

How about Compulsion Games the devs behind the upcoming South of Midnight? There is a precedent of Microsoft throwing aside Tango Gameworks when Hi-fi Rush failed and that game had a positive buzz.

Ken Levine's Ghost Story Games will be releasing Judas this year. He hasnt released a game in like ten years so I think this game has to be a hit. It actually looks pretty good though.

Ubisoft will be absorbed or its parts bought dirt-cheap in a selloff, rather than be shut down. My money's on BioWare getting Of Mice And Men'd by EA

Maybe somewhat of an unpopular opinion, but I think that EA is going to allow Ubisoft to finish Mass Effect 5. The last game Andromeda was basically a spinoff of the franchise. They've clearly got the noose tied around the neck but they're gonna wait until a proper mainline Mass Effect game releases to decide whether or not to pull the lever.

I genuinely do hope that ME5 is going to be good.

Please oh god no. Though honestly I don't place must trust in Bioware to make a good sequel anymore. It's gonna be DA Veilguard again, they're going to ruin the lore, choices and basic expectations fans want.

I'm not preordering it or anything, I'm definitely just... not even cautiously. I'm hopelessly optimistic about it. I just wanna see Shepard one more time. Even though it's most likely going to be a trooned out, gangraped, buck broken version of my boy... I need to see the mission through to the end. For my first ever Renegade route when Legendary Edition dropped, I made him a grumpy old black man.

Bethesda will be shut down in 2030 after the failure of The Elder Scrolls: VI. There will not be a Fallout 5. There will not be a Starfield II.
