Putting "all your eggs in one basket" as a BASED™ creator is a bad idea since you are probably going to get banned sooner or later, especially if you invested in Youtube. My philosophy is that the more websites you host your content on, the harder it is to censor you (or at least slowing the process down). You should consider to decentralize your online presence and that's what this thread is all about.

So in this thread I thought we can make a list over video hosting/streaming sites. I will start with the following ones:

BitView	No	Max 15 minute videos
3speak TV	Yes	Sometimes slow, max 2 GB per video. Also need a Hive account (some crypto shit). Ugly logo over the video player window, but can be removed with uBlock Origin (use the element picker and click on the logo).
Substack	No	You have to encode the videos yourself. You can also host audio and text.
Vimeo (free account)	No	Weekly maximum upload limit.
NicoNico	No	No English support (it's all in japanese). You need a VPN for some sections.
Facebook	Yes	Policy to use your IRL credentials.
VidLii	No	2GB, 25 minute maxium per video.
PeerTube	Depends on the instance/platform you are on.	Decentralized, but you have to pick an instance/platform that isn't run by censor jannys.

If you have to encode videos yourself, I suggest using FFmpeg, or if you need a GUI version; use handbrake and make a preset that you can run the videos through. For video software in general, I found this post on the farms with a lot of good recommendations.

For livestreaming only:

I suggest uploading clips on Instagram and TikTok since there is a lot of potential new audience there. If you want to livestream there, you should consider multistream. Aitum Multistream got settings for a separate vertical mode.

I added NicoNico, but not BiliBili. Not going to suggest users to sign up for a CCP account. If anyone needs to interact with China though work or travel there, don't want their social credit score to already be tanked down to oblivion.

Actually thoughts on DailyMotion? It's a bit of a Dead Nigger Baby hosted in France, but is particularly useful for finding really obscure clips from shows if you can't find it on YouTube.
I'm not sure what to think of Vidlii, it's main gimmick is emulating oldschool YouTube, however I have heard of problems like hosting Baby Monkey Torture in the past. I don't think they tolerate/let that slip by anymore, but I'm not sure what else there is to know about it beyond that.

Actually thoughts on DailyMotion?

You need to be approved to be able to upload though "access tokens" (no idea if it's hard or easy to get), but it seems extra tedious compared to the others websites in the list.

I'm not sure what to think of Vidlii, it's main gimmick is emulating oldschool YouTube, however I have heard of problems like hosting Baby Monkey Torture in the past. I don't think they tolerate/let that slip by anymore, but I'm not sure what else there is to know about it beyond that.

When it comes to lack of moderation, you have to take the good and the bad parts that comes with it. However, the fandom wiki got me a chuckle tho.

Very particular with specific browsers according to Null (Firefox based browsers work better for video uploads than chrome based browsers for whatever reason) and even then you might encounter a scenario where it says it failed to upload but then it'll show up as it actually uploaded as an attachment.
