🐱 Viewers screaming after Drag Queen seen sniffing poppers live on Channel 4

Drag queen Fatt Butcher was captured sniffing poppers live on Joe Lycett’s Big Pride Party on Channel 4 on Sunday, and viewers are screaming.

Comedian Joe marked 50 Years of Pride in the UK with a big queer celebration held in his Birmingham hometown.

During the two-hour inclusive spectacular, which also featured a lesbian proposal, eagle-eyed viewers spotted entertainer Fatt Butcher clutching a little bottle of the legal high and noted them having a cheeky inhale.

Naturally, the internet went mad for the moment, with the artistic director later confirming the events on their Instagram Story

‘Mom, I just did poppers live on Channel 4,’ they penned.

Viewers expressed their delight at the scenes at hand on social media, with one saying they were ‘obsessed’.

‘@FattButcher sniffing poppers live on @Channel4 next to @joelycett is everything I needed tonight,’ said another.

A third was convinced this was a landmark moment in television history. ‘Sniffing poppers live on national television,’ they said. ‘This has to be a first.’

Poppers are sold in nightclubs, bars, sex shops, drug paraphernalia head shops, over the Internet and in markets.

Sniffing them increases blood flow to the body giving some users a head-rush that lasts for a couple of minutes, a sense of euphoria, and increased sex drive and skin sensitivity.

Because poppers increase blood flow and can relax the walls of the anus and vagina, some people take it while they’re having sex.

Some people say that it also makes their erections stronger, and their orgasms more intense. But for some men, it’s the opposite, and they have trouble getting an erection after sniffing them.

Joe’s bumper pride party saw queer heroes Boy George and Culture Club, Steps, and Self Esteem perform.

And of course, there was an abundance of celebrity guests including Hollywood superstar Rupert Everett, Heartstopper sensations Joe Locke and Yasmin Finney, It’s A Sin’s Olly Alexander, and comedian Mawaan Rizwan and Drag Race queens Tia Kofi and Tayce.

They're still legal. The EU only banned one type.

But now I think it's a Spice-like situation where the ones still legal are more dangerous.
Not necessarily
Different does not always mean more dangerous or worse. Likewise, the degree of changes made in the molecular structure can be entirely independent of the changes in its nature. Let's look at the chemical makeup of the OG, Amyl Nitrite. Don't worry, you don't need to know chemistry to understand this chemistry. I certainly don't. Think of it kind of like LEGO.

Kinex might've been a better reference. Generally speaking there will be some node or line above where you can copy+paste a pre-existing one or T-off into something else. According to like 30 seconds of research the most important bit for this to work as intended is this:

So if we tack something on our ONO pretty close to the OG above, it should get us something analogous to the real thing. It might take some trial and error. There might be duds or unintended consequences. Just skimming through the synthesis with my layman's eyes, if you can make methamphetamine you can readily synthesize analogs for this.

Considering this isn't one of Schulgin's favorites it's not like there is any real research on this series as far as recreational use goes. This one isn't great. It stands to reason there's some modification that isn't quite as bad. There could also be varieties dangerous beyond comprehension. It's not like the people selling "Industrial Solvent" to use to save the Ozone are obliged to do any testing on what huffing their strong solvent does to people. As a practical matter they need some guinea pigs to make sure they're making what customers want without kicking off an Akira-type situation. However, every bit of testing they do is wasted product.

This isn't the thought process of credentialed pharmacologists and chem engineers looking to make something meant for human consumption. I'm not even scratching the surface of the myriad ways this can and does go wrong. It's fan-fucking-tastic these "chemists" found a customer base that could not define risk aversion if you put a gun to their head.

Isn’t the drag world also full of hard drug abuse? I’m sure I read that elsewhere.
Just like the gay culture in general. Lots people party in their 20s but these people don't stop. They keep throwing ragers and doing molly, coke, ketamine, and whatever else they can.
