After watching the Rimworld stream and the ongoing matters with Twitch behind the scenes, I can see Vinny break from all of this and do something like jschlatt has done: Focus exclusively on one off game videos and special event streams like the charity streams. I think the days of him doing a stream every night is gone, but long-form Lets Plays, Card Unwrappings, and Special Events are going to be the norm.

I think its for the better. I rarely watched Vinny live.

I think he'd actually like Kingdom Hearts' gameplay and some of the Final Fantasy stuff. The story? No. God no. Even the Disney stuff I don't think he'd really resonate with, because he has mentioned not growing up with Disney.
I can just say it'd be best for him to play 1 and 2, and pretend the series ended there.

Oh I disagree, I think he'd find the story hilariously stupid. Seriously, how can anyone keep a straight face with Donald Duck saying "Sephiroth"?
 
I think ever since the DMCA strikes on Twitch people have been suggesting Vinny go the way of sticking to Youtube for his content anyways, so this seems like the best decision in the long run. No tip-toeing around Twitch over music, accidental booba or Twitch chat offendotrons.
Sure he isn't streaming regularly now, but this will allow him to put out content whenever he feels like it.

Also, he mentioned he's not looking at the booru *currently*. I could absolutely see him doing pre-recorded art corners, which may for the best so he can filter out the weird and creepy art.

On another topic...for Joel obviously I want him to return to more GeoGuesser and FMV Fridays.

But for Vinny, is there any non-one offs he's stopped doing, or even one-offs you would like to see him do more of or return to? I'd love to see some more Tetris 99 (REALLY hope he does a pre-recorded Pacman 99), Clubhouse Games, Mario Kart 8, GTAV (no RPing, just regular GTAV) and even some Fall Guys. He always did say he would go back to that.

My dream stream for him (realistic games) is still Paper Mario, which he has said forever he will get around to.

As long as no one takes it too seriously. I draw a fine line at the bullshittery (that really does make sense) that is "13 Xehanorts and 7 Soras)

Super Mario Party just got online added, so I'd like to see his take on it with friends.

...and honestly, Xenoblade. He clearly enjoyed what he played, but with his daily streaming schedule it seemed all but impossible he would ever jump back into such a long, story driven RPG. But now?

If he plays GTA again that would bring back a lot of memories of his older streams (and also because I love GTA). I hope he does that again someday.

His GTAV heists with Regality, Mono and Dave were some of the first Vinesauce streams I saw in full. So yeah, total soft spot for them.

Also seeing Joel fuck around in GTA4 and the thought of Vinny using and reacting to custom playlists....the pastabilities...

Joel's GTA streams are some of his best. I just wish Joel didn't play so many different games. It sucks waiting so long for the next part even if he did stream it 2 times recently. I think Vinny had it right with his "2-3 games at a time" style of streaming.

Agreed, I have a really difficult time trying to recommend Kingdom Hearts to people because on one hand KH2FM is the best action RPG ever made, but on the other hand it's so aggressively fucking autistic that no one wants to touch it

As someone who got into the series on the recommendation of friends later on in life, I was actually stunned by how fun the mainline games were to play. I always figured the popularity was mostly due to the Disney stuff and the bizarre story/character shipping. Shit's actually a blast gameplay-wise, though.

I think Vinny would have a blast taking the piss out of it if he ever gave it the chance; seeing him fume at the Sephiroth fights alone would make the whole thing worth it. That said, I doubt he'll ever touch it, even in a no-chat situation. He's been adamant about how the insanity of it's fans is enough to keep him away. And unfortunately, he's kinda right.

I hope you're right, but ultimately, it's all guessing. I'm just saying I wouldn't be surprised if it takes that long, but deep down, I sincerely hope by thanksgiving, funne pasta man is back full force and full swing.
 
Even with all of the issues and troubles this year, Vinny and Joel have both given me one of my favorite stream moments ever in just the last 5 months for both of them. And it's only late April.

It's hard to top CAPUSSI and FUCKIN PUSSY RIPPED.
 
Very happy we got an update from him, and also happy that he seems happier and more comfortable keeping to himself a bit. Him doing those Xenoblade-style offline videos sounds like a good way to keep us posted every now and then without going back to the grueling schedule he had.
Though, if I could let the selfish side of me speak for a moment... I'd at least like him to stream or at least talk about upcoming E3 stuff, haha
 
I could definitely see that he will be gone for some months and doing lets play for fullsauce for the big games coming. God i just hope he at least do E3 even its pre recorded. Seeing him yamming at the games he is not interested has always been funny or when he losses his shit like the banjo announcement. Just glad to hear he is doing fine most importantly.

There will for sure be a new Smash fighter announcement there, so if anything else it'd be awesome if he watched the Nintendo conference (he always seemed miserable watching anything else, though that's part of the entertainment)
