I feel like using something as an easy punching bag (Vinny making easy Sonic jokes that he himself admits is low hanging fruit) and going out of your way to paint something you don't like in the worst possible light (Arin practicing Sonic game glitches off camera so he can "accidentally" run into all them and call the games irredeemable) are pretty far removed, even if they both probably stem from some sort of repressed childhood vendetta against Thing I'm Not Supposed To Like.

Seems like there won't be a charity event this year. Attaching an image of Vinny's comment on Reddit cause Reddit is gay and cancer.

i kind of don't blame them, the vih stuff got really over the top and convoluted
 
Charity event over the last few years sucked anyways. I only really love to watch Dr. Joey Dripp and his streams during VIH are terrible, rehearsed and he's always rushed for time. I'd rather they just do what they please on their own time. The ones he does after VIH to expand on his segments are always wayyy better

I don't even see the point of doing a charity while Games Done Quick is running. If they were going to do a charity, they should postpone it a month or two later.

The Death Stranding arc was the worst, then he caved to chat and made VDub play it and all the Kojima cock riders had a meltdown for "not respecting muh kino game".

I much prefer this version of being passive aggressive to chat.

I remember him having a fit in the YouTube comments section back when he played it. Him posting some sarcastic comments like "I'm sorry my caveman brain wasn't capable of understanding the game".
The retards with their heads up their asses about the game looked bad, but he looked worse totally not arguing with them.

The thing about Death Stranding, I think, is that Vinny was quite hyped about it pre-release. I distinctly remember him talking about watching gameplay footage on release and going "oh no", because he was one of those people who were convinced there would be more to it than "artsy Kojima hiking sim".
So there's the initial disappointment on his part, then he's confronted with people who took the game for what it was and/or are unquestioning Kojimafags and you get the unusual amount of butthurt that resulted.

It's probs for the best that they don't do it this year. People all over are hurting financially that it wouldn't come close to the donation levels from the last several years of PCRF/VIH.

Isn't his favorite game like Chrono Trigger in which the characters are designed by Akira Toriyama? He's played various anime games over the years not even as a joke, but asking if he's watched anime or likes it has become a running gag with a lot of the fans. I think he may be easing into watching anime but doesn't want to be overwhelmed by people forcing him watch a bunch of different things. But then again he has no problem watching tons of Star Trek.

Granted Star Trek does not feature panty shots of teenage girls for a laugh.

I really do understand why someone his age would be apprehensive about watching anime, especially the ones his audience, who the vocal majority now seem to be 20 years his junior, reccomend.

Star Trek has its own fair share of strange sexual oddities due to the nature of it being centered around aliens. And he's even talked about it on stream a few times among other things, like the not sex cult. But even then he's well aware of what anime is and knows about hentai to some extent, which hasn't stopped him from playing certain games either on stream or off.

I don't know who's hand wringing. I have unfortunately watched plenty of anime in plenty of genres through out my life and seen my fair share of bullshit.

I am just pointing out how I can see why someone who did not grow up watching it would be apprehensive about getting into it when they are pushing 40 and a lot of the more popular series centre around high schoolers.

At least Star Trek has adults being weird and horny. (I think?)
