it's more like if they give in to either side too much then chat goes rampant and obnoxious about it. As is chat is pretty neutral, when something rad happens they say 'BASED' and when something gay happens they say *tranny flag emoji* and the rest of the time it's either dancing emotes or cursed emotes.
mikes chat leans tranny, vinny seems mid, and joel's is fairly camp BASED.
You don't want case of a super based chat, like say pippa has, that will get them in trouble eventually

I understand they must follow twitch TOS but as far as appeasing twitter and trannies, there are bigger streamers out there who give less of a fuck and theyre doing fine

Vinny saying nigger or faggot on Twitch or Youtube is just like you saying it in your workplace or office.

A warning at best and fired at worst.

I do not understand the need for you all to hear him say it for him to be based, I know we throw that shit around on KF because we can, but in reality it does not make anything any more or less funny.
 
Twitch has banned people for less, and even for shit that happened off-site. Regardless, I don't think that the old stream archive was taken down because of potential cancellation/banning over bad language, since there are already old highlights on Joel and Vinny's own channels that have non-PC words in them. That, and the fact that the archive had hardly any views comparatively. We can only guess as to why Joel (seemingly) requested them to be taken down.

It's not like they even used to use slurs all that often anyway. I can only recall one instance of Vinny actually saying faggot on stream. Joel used to say faggot somewhat frequently but not once a stream frequently. I don't think Joel or Vinny have ever said nigger on stream except for the one time Vinny was playing the burger game and somebody was named niggernutz and he was just reading their username. There's also a few instances of Vinny saying tranny but it wasn't in a derogatory nature, it was just okay to call people trannies back then.

joel's gta 4 playthrough is immensely fun and it's a bummer that he's going to be done with the game soon. doubt he'll play the DLCs or gta 5 but in the thousand to one chance that he does: i will look forward to it.

Last thing I'll say on this for now, but I think it's probably as some form of curation, as even if there's bad words in old stuff on his channel, he think's it's understandable in context (optimistic maybe), but when it's someone who somehow hoarded dozens of hours of pre-historic content and dumped it for people to see, he doesn't have the time to sift through all that and instead just asks for it to be taken down for now.
Again, as someone with a preservationist mentality, I don't agree with this, but as we can tell with how he curates his stream uploads (think of all the streams he doesn't like that he has never uploaded), I can understand where he's coming from.

Mario Kart Saturdays (on the rare occasion he does them) has Joel at his peak of salty post-scatological comedy.

Easily Joel's Hypnospace Outlaw streams for me. Feels like a perfect Joel game, he clearly had a very good time with it. I had never seen anything to do with the game before either so it was a new experience for me too.
