Joey's biggest problem is he only streams maybe 20-40 hours a month if not less which results in him taking actual years to finish games assuming they're not abandoned. Every time Joel streams something shitty it's just like, "Well I'll check back in a few weeks when he streams again and maybe it will actually be something decent this time..." I feel like he's been streaming less and less over the past 3 years or so. I still enjoy VOTV and most of Joel's streams but it would be nice if he could commit to at least one, maybe two streams a week. That doesn't seem like such a big ask to me since he literally lives off Twitch subs.

TL;DR Joel gets lazier everyday.
When Jobel is considered to be more superior than either Vinny, Rev or Jerma, they've become more burntout with their quality.

never forget vinny promised a super mario 64 DS playthrough several years ago after it had been modded to have analog controls. now he's choosing to play random shitty sm64 rom hacks to scratch that itch he's supposedly feeling. he's quickly transforming into joel.

I mean it's obvious that Vinesauce is full of lazy people

Vinny just uploaded more Against the Storm. Didn't someone here say that these videos put them to sleep? 🤔

Based Vinny, he knows everyone either hates the Against the Storm vids or only uses them to fall asleep but he still plays it anyway despite the thousands of other games he could be playing instead. The only other type of video that's less engaging is one offs of Early Access Rougelites.

It is a solid game though (I haven't watched Vinny play it)

At least Jerma is slowly dialing back his streaming. I wouldn't be surprised if this is just a transition into his retirement. Smart move tbh.

I thought the alien game vin played on sunday looked super promising. I hope that the dev takes his time releasing and working on it because it's the type of gritty alien horror that really scares me. loved the design for the aliens, too. fleshy yet still looking like greys.

Chordosis, right? I'm a bit iffy on episodic releases and the whole "itchio will always have exclusive content, even if the Steam/Epic version is released", but the game itself is interesting. Some of the post-processing feels a little heavy, but that might just be from the video, I haven't tried the game myself.

I like the part where the player crawls through a barbed wire like it's nothing and climbs up ladders instantly.

I'll always wonder what Joel would think of that game if he's able to stream it

I'm surprised it took Vin so long to get around to streaming HF radio oddities. Especially considering his history of indulging in 'abandoned' media like old online games, as well as his obvious interest in sci-fi horror.

However, as a radio-enthusiast myself, I am slightly perturbed by how uninformed a couple of the pack producers were. The second pack was barely tuned properly on most of the signals sent (voices normally are not that distorted if you're on the target frequency). Also failed to identify really common encoding methods like RTTY / AFSK and FT8 (pretty much anything that wasn't basic carrier-wave/morsecode). I feel like Vin could enjoy the segment much more if he actually knew what he was observing. The "machine generated signal from some boat or something" (as described by pack creator) was a proprietary NATO comms encoding format called STANAG, the "some weird noises" one was FT8.

I also much prefer when Vin plays a more active role in cultivating Sunday curiosities -- Like I would have enjoyed if someone taught him how to use a WebSDR and browsed around some amateur/Indie bands or known numbers station frequencies himself. That element of 'unexpected discovery' from older streams is sorely missed.

i've always thought radio was so interesting and it's cool to see modern games/shows using it as a story telling element. you should shoot him an email about this! he seemed genuinely interested in the topic, and it looks like you know your stuff. Maybe even create a pack where it teaches you how to do cool stuff, like the corruption classroom.

Sure, why not. A compilation is definitely feasible. The DIY concept may depend heavily on how much time he wants to spend on the segment though, since a lot of radio discovery depends on looking around for ages with vague ideas of what to look for before you find something noteworthy. Most military / intelligence HF broadcasts happen on set schedules too.
It also depends on how much he wants to play with fire with regards to DMCA claims and TOS, since you'll be scrubbing through copyrighted music constantly, and can't police what even OFCOM licenced hams might do. Anything from deranged preachers to what I heard the other night (NSFW: hardcore porn interfering on a CQ park):

Shortwave radio is very based but equally a very unmoderated place.

I kinda wanna mod UNDERTALE and replace Alphys with Joel. I think the game would be more generally well received with this simple modification.
