Since they have a habit of lurking here, I wonder if Vinny's trying to curb any doubts in peoples' minds -- whether it be lurkers on here or elsewhere -- who happen to see posts -- or comments elsewhere -- criticizing how he's been running things, especially the concerns over the recent semi-frequent facecam streams, that he's not totally money hungry. It comes off manipulative to me.

eBegging is just part of the gig. He knows he does it but he also wants to say if you don't give him anything he doesn't mind. Think of him like a kind homeless man, except he is the farthest thing away from being homeless.
 
He has always said that about subs though? I'm confused what the drama is about. He used to say this shit at the end of every stream for YEARS.

Also is the ebegging really drama? Every streeemur his internet age has been ebegging since it's conception, specially when it was hip to do it in /vg/ iirc. Is it even ebegging? Sounds more like histronic interpretations of something vague.
 
Money is always going to be a passsing concern for people, and seeing your revenue cut for no real reason, even if you're still perfectly comfortable, is still going to sting someone. I think that's understandable. Additionally, Vinny seems a little like the kind of person that just lets annoyances and worries like that fester under his skin, though this is just conjecture, so there might be an element of venting that to it as well. I think he also just likes the dopamine hit of when the numbers go up, too. He's pretty much torn between wanting to feel like he's growing and progressing, instead of stagnating, and staying true to himself in not trend chasing with the latest games all the time or e-begging.

I kinda' feel the same, but not entirely.
Part of me wants to believe that he's still in there, but with the way he's approaching his streams now makes me think otherwise. The vibe of the streams don't feel the same to me anymore and it all comes off like he's addicted to viewer metrics/money again like he admitted to a couple years back. Everything's more hammed up and forced than usual, to pander for money's sake than being legitimately entertaining. Idk.

I mean with the facecam thing, he contemplated about Twitch trends and if not doing them on top of facecams much has "helped or hindered" what he does, concludes he just doesn't like doing facecams, but then does it anyway because "people enjoyed it" and/or "Gnorts raving would be fun/needed to get use out of an $150 Leon jacket", the latter examples I find to be masking that he's really just doing it for the views. This isn't to say he's never done facecams before, just that with how frequent they've been lately has me, as well as others, worried he'll do it more.

It's also the constant dubling down he's been doing that conerns me too, becasue really, there's nothing stopping him from taking a sponsorship in the furture and having a convieant excuse to get away with doing it, like using the V-Dub bit: It's still Vinny's way of being himself without selling out completely because it's an ironic inside joke and he can just deflect to V-Dub when questioned because "technically" it wasn't him -- a cope.

It makes me wonder if he's ever going to feel comfortable again finacially where he doesn't need to do all this pandering anymore. The major reason that factored into him starting this shift in the first place was because of that warehouse merch situation last year, which before that during that same year, he said he was in a good position saving his money. This all likey seems to just be Vinny's new business model going forward until he inevitably streams less due to age and to focus on his music.
 
At 1:44:27 Joel watches an old commercial starring Bruce Jenner. A chat member tells him, "Don't let him drive a car." Joel learns Bruce Jenner killed a woman on the road and pretty much got away with it. Not once does Joel call Bruce by his new name.

Does anyone else get the feeling that Joel is sort of done with the whole streaming thing? He barely shows up nowadays and when he does, his streams are pretty sub-par compared to his old streams. He just doesn't seem to make as much of an effort nowadays.
When was the last windows destruction stream? When was the last vinewrestle stream? What about those long ass streams like desert bus, flight sim or all those hardcore friday streams?
idk maybe it's just me but I get the feeling that ol' man just doesn't have it in him anymore.

He has definitely been streaming less and less year after year. He used to stream nearly everyday a few years ago but now he does a few streams and then disappears for weeks. These streaming breaks have become longer and more frequent.

As much as Vinny like to pretend it's just a hobby for him, streaming is his career and legacy. I can't imagine any male isn't at least somewhat interested in being successful in their field of work. I imagine he's thinking about his future and how he can make as much money as possible while this whole streaming thing is profitable because who knows how long this will last? People could lose interest or Twitch could completely shit the bed (even more than they usually have) He lives in New York and it's not exactly cheap to live there.

Yeah this is why I handpick, rather cherrypick vinesauce stuff I watch. Joel's Morrowind or Oblivion playthrough won't have such faggotry. I often avoid groups of people in any videos unless its like the good ol day types who have an energy like Vanoss or friends fucking around.

Vinny has surrounded himself with the most safe and annoying retards possible, from V-Tumors like Limes to Pro-Current Thing idiots like RubberRoss.
At least Joel mostly streams alone and occasionally with Simple flips and Mike.

Ray used to be a part of Rooster Teeth. He was very entertaining back then but I haven’t seen hide nor hair of him in a long time.

I fucking hate the "Friends" in these videos. Between the pedobait VTuber whores and the nasal-voiced mouthbreathing try-hards, I refuse to watch this shit anymore. Vinny alone is great, but his friends are annoying hangers-on.
 
I did not expect Ray to show up in a video with Vinny, but regardless I won't be watching since I also usually don't like the "with friends" videos.

On a different note, I'm rewatching Vinny play Animal Crossing New Horizons and while I do enjoy it, I forgot how pretentious he could get with even that game.
