The people that bothered joel about discussing fan theories on stream have completly ruined the deltacoom playthru for me. I want to hear people talk about their ideas.

If it weren't for Joel and his keen ear for music, I wouldn't have noticed the Gaster references in the first two chapters at all. Most games don't bother with giving motif significance at all, but Deltarune does.

This is what I'm feeling watching him play the Oblivion remaster. Running around with broken gear, using random shortswords and blindly spamming M1 at every enemy then wondering why he's constantly dying while enemies take ages to kill, not even once bothering to learn how alchemy or stealth actually works outside of "plink a single arrow at a bandit standing a mile away in a meadow", not even bothering to get new spells outside the basic restore HP one, and at the end of the latest video he says he probably won't be finishing the game this time either, but it's a really faithful remaster guise, them bethesders did a good jerb, really. Bitch you don't even know how 10% of this game works.

He is basically done with the game, though. Hes like four quests off of beating the main one but went off to do the dlc since the main quest is boring.
 
Wish someone would get Vinny some more bootleg consoles, plug and plague makes for such a comfy watching experience, the Reactor one was fascinating, specially with the whole VT-389 chip fuckery allowing for some strange romhacks.
 
Vinny clearly finds his chat annoying which is why they are not shown on screen. He only reads off comments that are funny and it's intentional that he says "chat member" as a means of discouraging parasocial behavior from his fanbase. Since I never watch live and only watch VODS his chat is nonexistent to me. If chat bothers people that much (which is fair 99.9% of live chats are cancer) then just watch the VOD channel?
Anyways I prefer the educational segments as well. I hope someone does another art pack soon that segment has been my favorite this year!

Hes said in the past he doesn't like having stuff on the screen, its why he doesn't do a webcam or have a bunch of bars or screen pop ups like 99% of streamers.

This is the reason why he's the only gaming streamer I watch, and also why I only watch his VODs and never his livestreams.

I watched some of the Vinny's Donkey Kong Bananza VOD, and I just don't understand how he can enjoy the games while streaming and reading the chat. At the start he talks about how exited he is for the game etc. But less than 20 minutes into the game he's answering stupid memes from chat and talking about random shit while almost completely ignoring the game he was so exited for. I guess that's the curse of streaming games for living. But even then he could just ignore the chat and focus more on the game instead of doing random bits every 10 minutes.

Most of his game playthroughs are like that nowadays. Not paying attention and running in circles while he reads the chat. It's why I can only really watch the Sunday stuff now.

I have a feeling he's not really enjoying it, because it's another babby game with no challenge at all. But since it's a big release from big N, he has to pretend to be excited, after all he's a fanboy in an abusive relationship with nintendo, still sucking their dick even when they spit in his face. He hardly pays attention, missing bananas left and right. Strangely enough, this doesn't annoy me at all. If anything, I find it amusing. The game is well-designed, with deliberate level cues and stuff like Pauline chiming in when something important shows up, to the point where she even gets annoying. And yet, he somehow misses every clue, it's genuinely hilarious
 
Vinny's taking a break from streaming this week; his next stream is apparently going to be on Sunday. Can't say he doesn't deserve it because I can't even remember the last time he's been on a break in general excluding the cancellation attempt

Oddly enough the Mario games are some of his best streams. No funny business, just him chilling and talking while playing the bing bing wahoo. With the exception of him sperging about Twitter during one of his Mario Rabbids playthroughs.

It's such a Redditor thing it's so annoying. Was Hogan a good guy? No, but none of us had to work with him or live with him. It's fine to appreciate him as a performer--he's not some pedo or something as far as I know.
Feels bad for Joel. Could tell in his Ozzy video his death really affected him. Appreciated reading in the description how he got into Ozzy and Black Sabbath that was neat to see.
