Years of farmers speculating over and over how miserable Vinny must be and how streaming is definitely coming to an end soon because he's "almost 40" and "over his shitty fanbase". In general there's less content here than in most threads with hardly any rips or backups pointing to some of the funnier bullshit these dummies say. There's a real sense of glee around Vinny's misery and I don't really see why- he's just a sad dude trying to get through who knows better than to sperg out too hard and has some failed dreams.

I thought the metokur thread was bad but this has even less going on with the same smugness. I know Vinesauce has done all sorts of dumb shit in the past but even after reading through the whole thing, i've seen it referenced but hardly ever pointed to directly. I guess it makes sense that low-effort streamers would only attract low-effort shitposters, but somehow I'm still disappointed.

I like his content but usually stick to vods to avoid the chat autism. I mostly just found it funny that a thread with so many posts calling a fanbase toxic/retarded/autistic etc, was full of exactly that behavior but as @Aquinas pointed out that's the nature the farms anyways.

I mean, the thread really only became active this year, so right off the bat you clearly didn't read the damn thing. That said, we're all transparently attached to Vinny and Joel (and... the others I guess) due to our interest in their material. We aren't getting our rocks off to their pain, we're interested in the behind-the-scenes activity and what it means for the streams themselves. Sure, we get a little obnoxious and speculate about personal shit, but what kind of fans would we be if we didn't? That's always on the forefront of anyone's mind - "what are they like in real life?"

I also don't really know what you expected to happen by commenting in the thread if you hated it so much. Tell yourself we're dumb motherfuckers and move it on. (Though I do agree that some of us in this thread go a little too far sometimes.)

I'm going to just come out and say when it comes to the thread becoming more active just this year, I may have contributed partially to that. I was really disgruntled with the shit parts of the fanbase that nobody else seemed to question or people seemed okay with (especially jabroni mike's "inner circle" of mods, yeah he's not exactly vinesauce so kill me). I went on to bitch and lo and behold! Other people were dissatisfied too! who would have thought??? I have to say its refreshing to see people spread that hot goss but not get a hate boner over vinesauce like you claim.

Holy fuck, I think I was there for this stream! You really dusted off an oldie with this one. If I remember right, the clips from this video ended up being used for the DemEngineerz video I linked before when I was talking about the weird relationship between Young Vinny and Young Joel.

Also, "I'm English, I'm conservative, I don't believe in homosexuality" is a legendary Vinny quote that I think also answers one of our earlier questions (about where Vinny leans politically - since he's clearly being sarcastic there, he probably leans the opposite way). I'm gonna watch this later and see if I can pull any other choice quotes out of it.

Also, before I forget - I mentioned before that I'd try to find SgtFgt's Formspring again, but unfortunately it seems to have been scrubbed from Google. I know Formspring shut down, but I thought they were saving the archives and hosting them on the original website, which it appears isn't the case. He used to be a very entertaining streamer to watch, he was down to earth and shot the shit well. He changed after he got more serious about using twitch as a means of living. As of recently i've learned he's not in the best financial situation right now. So if he ever comes off as very pandering, its because he can't afford to piss off his patreon supporters. It's really depressing because you could just lay down a fat stack and it just means you instantly become that much more influential in the kind of content he puts out.

I agree, but the moment he started to pander/enable the trender crowd I stopped watching, but yes you can't blame the guy. Its easy money till you say wrong think, so he's being very very careful. Dude pretty much can't do drumming any more cause of his back pains which only adds to his depression.

Well I’m only going to say this and you will have to take my word for it. It’s not out of easy money, the guy is only able to barely break even for rent and that’s it. I won’t divulge more details beyond that.

I half agree - I also started watching Vinesauce at the same time (late 2011/early 2012), so I do miss the vibe of goofy fun with no ulterior motives that their old videos used to have. However, I think the way Vinny and company treat their audiences now is simply a risk of the trade. Actions have consequences, and you can't just get away with everything like you could back in the day if you want to actually maintain your career. If Vinny wanted to go back to 2011-style Vinesauce, he could, but it would come at the risk of sacrificing everything he's worked up to at this point. I think he had to grow up at some point, and while those old streams are a really nice memory, I'm glad he made the choice to let his content mature along with him so that we got many more years of his work.

Wow, the culture of 4chan has really changed. It's weird to see them scapegoat the farms for leaking nudes when they are infamous around the world for hosting morally inexcusable content and for leaking the private information of many major figures, up to and including nudes. What a strange turn.

And sorry I got the date wrong its in January 2020 not December 10. Maybe its tinfoil hat think but since Rev has/had "Kids" flash games where hes cussing like a sailor, Vinny has old Fortnite and also Minecraft videos and since Fortnite and Minecraft are targeted at kids, and the Flash games are also targeted to kids, they might have some issues with uploading streams?

You'd think that Vinny being well off enough to actively avoid donations and twich subscriptions, that he would help out both his band member and best friend by chipping in, if he isn't already. That shit sucks and I can see why he's so pandering to the degree he is. He's desparate and knows that if he plays the right game with his audience, he'll just make it. The only problem with that plan is that he's better off getting a job, because using the internet as a source of revenue is such a risky move with how quickly the definition of whats acceptable changes, not to mention that if you piss off anyone with the slightest remark, they have the potential to shit kick you off of whatever your using for money. It sucks, especally if you gotten use to how lax an online job is, but that's the way it is.
