Y E S, you opened a whole can of worms inside my brain, buddy.

The person is s ki ba (rees? dont remember), she(?) ( FtM troon btw, yes) was the main instigator of my ex gf and the one who encouraged her to base her entire personality around Joel and his streams and also the second person in every """inner""" circle of Joel fanbase.

She simps Joel and his mods EXTENSIVELY, often donating large sums of money to each one of them, sending gifts abroad and overall increasing her presense in the community. She is also a furry, who draws Joel \ mods as FURSONAS, despite their clear discomfort with that.

As far as i understood she is a mod already? A fitting end, lmao, since she is the definition of gatekeeping in the "internal" Joel community ( She would literally push for bans and kicks off discord because people pissed her off in one way or another, and guess who will the mods listen to, given how much money she gives them).

On a side note, on her trip to Sweden she picked up some nerdy guy that lived in the same town as one of Joel mods, SOMEHOW he started simping her too, and now they are in a relationship (at least last time i checked) , poor guy .

Oh boy do I fucking hate her, she may have been the strangest female I've ever seen in chat — literally having to be hospitalised and getting anxiety attacks because she fears Joel may have misinterpreted something she said, and that she "doesn't put in enough effort" to compliment Joel.

It's fucking crazy how many people (even subs/people that have been watching Joel for years) have been banned because of her constant bitching towards LeonTheDragonCat back in the day when someone wouldn't compliment her obese Homestuck cosplay, or give sympathy points because she got a breast reduction. But Leon, the unemployed, Spanish, autistic 36 year old furry "artist" that lives with his mother, simps or rather stalks Limes to the point where he got banned from her stream once and genuinely starts crying to a point where he has to take "a week off" from his moderator "career" when you tell him he's an embarrassment is a whole other story.

So far Joel's always been cool about unbanning accounts, though. When my girlfriend back then (since mid 2020 only LDR, fuck corona) got her account banned for telling that bitch to calm her tits, Joel emailed her something along the lines of "sorry man I get chat can be a bit too sensitive, I hope you don't hate me for that because I don't control it" and then Anthro unbanned her.

I remember when i frequented vinesauce discord he used to come by and bitch and moan about how we spend all his cash on some 3DS catrdige or something along these lines and doesn't have any money left to feed himself ( the dude looks like 120+ kg, god knows how he manages that). If i recall correctly he was always using the lines like "Sigh, chat, i guess im eating a single raw potato today".

Staten Island is a microcosm all its own. It's more likely that there were a specific handful of kids that used to dunk on Vinny for playing "babby games," because he really does bring it up fucking constantly even though Nintendo was the clear favorite, to the point that it literally killed Sega's console production line (and of course the failure of the Dreamcast contributed to that too, but that's not relevant here).

Joel is usually pretty casual about stuff said in chat, to my recollection, but I know some of his mods are pretty trigger happy with the bans. I've noticed that he tends to be way less regulatory in Vineyards - he's still in streamer mode, of course, but he slips in a lot more gachi stuff than I've seen him talk about in regular streams in the last few years. I've also seen quite a few more "risque" messages from chat get through in there than I have in his general streams. It takes me back to his older streams, when not only could you say pretty much anything, but Joel himself was more liable to say more fucked up stuff than the chat. How times have changed!

Holy fuck, I swear I remember this! I could be crossing the wires, as I've never really been a fan of Limes, but I feel like I distinctly recall seeing him complain about getting banned from her stream and whining about how mean people are to him for being a mod or whatever, when the problem was clearly just that he's creepy. There was a sizable period of time where I was lurking in Joel's chat during both on- and off-stream hours, and was idly chatting with other chat members and some of his mods (Joel was there sometimes too, but not very often), so it could have happened then. How long ago was this?

Incidentally, aren't there mods lurking in this thread, too? Are we all gonna get in trouble for bullying this poor innocent mod team?

Funny you mention that, I remember some guy posted a screenshot from 8acon's server here and the wind of that somehow reached the server itself,

Hooooly fuck did the people went full paranoia mode, saying that kiwi will bring the server down with their sweaty Joel-stan fingers. Even the mentioning of the incident was frowned upon and people would actively shame you and delete your messages containing the word kiwi. That was done to counter the "kiwis who got through" obviously. If my memory doesnt fail me, they even put some of the inner servers on temporary lockdown after that post.

I was involved a lot with inner community at the time, not directly ( they were usually jerking off each other in VC ) most of the time, but i always kept an eye on the situation. Also the screenshot in question was a screencap of Joel saying that he is still ill and won't stream or something along these lines.

Imo servers ( I think mostly 8acon's was under the mods' watch after the screenshot, other servers didn't go past mods shoo-ing people discussing the topic ) didn't have much incriminating info on them ( if you dont count mods relationship drama with art hoes that kept popping up time after time in vent channels along with sk1ba's vaginal troon infections (y e s) ).

As far as i remember, the main point behind temporary "lockdown" was to keep Joel's private info away from stinky Kiwis. Since the server was "cool friends of joel's mods" zone, mentions of his and mods' irl events were pretty frequent there.
Also 8acon felt very insecure about people invading server to stan Joel, instead of yknow, simping him instead as the server name implied.

I don't think they keep an eye on the thread, though I also haven't been on the server for months, can't say for sure.
The initial lockdown didn't last that long, prolly a week or so, but I heard that they really stepped up the number of steps required to get to the drama and private shit.

All I know from my occasional prodding and poking is that they instated many layers of "ourguy"-isms, for example you cant get straight into server anymore, you have to pass a "decontamination" stage with general-only chat. Not sure about the next steps, but I heard from people who were still there at the time that they have like 2-3 layers, each granting access to more and more channels ( mostly some shitty VC that don't get used anyway ).
If you really want to get in my only advice is to smear 8acon's face with art and praise of his CoOl TrAp MuSiC, that will get you the status of "Regular" in no time ( i think some active artists who interacted with 8acon regulary got promoted in less than a week .)

If you're coasting off being Joel's friend of course there's gonna be people who are there to use you as a ladder to get to Joel, there's no easy way about it, you're either aware of it or split from it, finding success under someone else shadow is not easy, you gotta step out of it

Sensible enough, you don't want randoms shitting up your personal chat, just general ass kissing and squeaky clean behavior, but as its normal with these communities its only a matter of time before someone gets tired of kissing too much ass and getting nothing in return so they'll come to spill beans eventually.
Despite common beliefs we do not create moles, their own communities create them and make them willing to backstab them, Kiwifarms simply gives them a voice without judging them and complete freedom which is why they end up here.

Vinecord was pretty open last time i checked, once you get a green light from the mods to join you are free to roam the entirety of the server. Not much to see there except twitch chat being autistic outside of chat, obviously. Though they have a chat #2 channel, in case you missed the twitch chat retardation. "Now in the convenience of your favorite chatting app!"

I mean, he has his own twitch channel and all, but who are we kidding, everyone came to him because of Joel one way or another. I doubt many people actually like his streams or the music he makes.

On that note, the inner circle was initially people getting into the same voice channel and reading their designated character's lines on 8acon's Ace Attorney streams, I think most of the circle still is comprised out of these guys.
I dont see the appeal of doing that myself, since they literally just read the text on screen in wacky voices, but who am I to know.
