That's what I'm wondering. If they are going to make you jump through as many hoops as the "I want Joel daddy to put his pee-pee in my boi pussy uwu" simp brigade demand to get into their chat group then I guess its not really worth it for me and I'll just pick up on vineyard via osmosis on here.
You can always go the longer way and pop on their streams, being active in chat and such, you may just get lucky.

Question though for @DryRaisin did that troon go FtM in hopes of "converting" Joel to go gay or they about the same as that troon THOT that claims to have fucked Vinny? ala "____ says TRANS RIGHTS cause we had teh seks uwu"
I think the trooning happened even before I joined their community, so prolly not. I also don't think she wants to fuck Joel, more so she just gets hard from influencing the community in general to favor her.

Also, drama talk aside, do you guys enjoy Joel's non-parody music?

Asking because i see more and more people who are definitely not into that music hopping onto the Scythel0rd bandwagon with merch, art and whatever else.
Like, it's not bad by any means, but i somehow seriously doubt that people who usually listed only to 100gecs and other shit like that somehow ended up really digging swedish screaming. I dont rule out that possibility ofc, but it all looks like some extension of fangirl-ism to me.

I definitely see what you’re describing. When you go on videos of their songs (or more recently, their new album announcement) most of the comments are shit like “GOOD JOB JOEL!!!” Compare that to comments/reviews on their band camp, which at least are like “Cool music cant wait to see what’s next” kind of shit. I’ve seen it with Red Vox, too, but not as much, likely because he doesn’t do it the same way Joel does

(to powerlevel, it’s honestly embarrassing how much Joel has shaped my music tastes. Wouldn’t have known about shit like Iced Earth to Wesley Willis and BJ Snowden if it wasn’t for him (not to mention Siivagunner lol) but i’m still getting into Scythelord)

I honestly really enjoy Scythelord. I'm no music expert and can't explain many terms properly, but many metal bands just don't vibe with me for some reason, but this one has a balance of tempo, vocals and melody that's just right up my alley. I also listen to Beefzone and Tekknopidgeon completely unironically.

Anyway, is it just me, or is Fren a kind of reincarnation of this old Vinesauce mascot that Joel drew years ago?

I'm not big on metal myself, and I haven't heard too much Scythelord, but I have quite enjoyed what I have heard. For me it's not about the music itself, but the technical skill behind it; as I've said a few times, Joel has an AMAZING ear for composition, and he can turn even the shittiest piece of crap midi into gold (Beef Zone 2 is my best example of this). Since I was interested in his joke compositions, I listened to a couple Scythelord songs to hear how he performs in a more serious context, and while I couldn't get into the music itself, I think they made some really fascinating choices composition-wise and that made the songs really enjoyable for me to listen to. I of course know there are other band members, but sound-wise I think it's most likely that Joel is the primary composer; the music just sounds very like him, with influences from the other band members to keep it fresh. It's probably not something I would listen to on the regular, but his talent and skill are transparent.

Scythelord is not my genre of music but I can acknowledge that it's pretty good for what it's worth and Joel's absolutely significantly better at making serious music than anybody would expect. I believe he's mentioned that he has even been approached by third parties about being signed to a music label but rejected it because he didn't want to make his hobby into an official thing. I think he is substantially better at making music than Vinny. Not that it's a competition, but Joel is far more talented.

I've mentioned it before in this thread but my music taste is typically the edgy nu-metal stuff Joel likes to make fun a lot on stream. I'm not a metal hater though but I definitely have a very shallow pool in which I've really explored regarding what non nu-metal stuff I've really listened to. With all that being said I enjoy Joel's music a lot. I'm sure there's a lot of fangirls and whatnot who only "like" Vinny and Joel's respective bands because they like Vinny/Joel but I feel like there are some people who just happen to be fans of Vinny/Joel and like their bands. I think it also might help that these funni boys helped shape some people's taste and helped them find things they like. Moreso Vinny with playing music on his BRBs prior to the DMCApocalypse.

Totally agree with this. When Vinny's spotify(?) playlist dropped and someone migrated it to russian services it kickstarted my adventure into more indie music genres and groups.
Joel also helped a fair bit with his metalhead tendencies.

Has anyone else been having that weird sensation for the last 3 months or so where Vinny feels "too old to watch"?
Like, sometimes he'll play something and instead of considering it funny, you just kind of feel as if someone's dad was playing it and you stop being entertained?
I don't know, considering he's approaching 40 there's just something that feels off whenever he plays games now, like a sad kind of aura.

Quarantine blues mixed with nintendo not having anything hype out.

That and the death of brb's, vin really was enlivened by playing the role of 90's dj for the zoomers.

Personally I'm an old fuck so I relate and feel well represented.

Feels like streaming has become less fun to him and he can't laugh at things like he used to. Probably a combination of insulting something someone likes, and more topics having some drama attached by the day. I remember just a year or two back he used to talk about stuff like what podcasts he listens to, including JRE, and he just gradually stopped.

Makes you think how much longer the Vinesauce people will keep it up. Vinny seems more fed up with streaming by the day recently, platform changes on top of that too. Plus the audience being the massive retard crowd they are probably don't help.

Dunno about Joel though. He seems to get many laughs out of streaming, although I sometimes wonder how much of his funnies are just to please the bebby-ridden chat.

It could just be a product of how this past year has been. Both streamer and stream watchers are experiencing some kind of burn out or things just haven't been as energetic as they used to be a year ago or so. I can imagine a lot of people right now have been spending more time watching streams than they have before, and streamers are spending more time streaming than they are going outside and enjoying the things they used to before Covid.
As for Vinny, Im sure the past year or even the kind of shit that's been happening at the tail end of this year has been wearing him down. Can't say for sure.

Also as GhostButt mentioned, having the BRB music taken away and having to tip toe around DMCA strikes has got to make things depressing.

Joel certainly gets laughs out of streaming, but he only streams once a week if not less. No idea what's up with that.
