I REALLY wonder what the fuck she did, but that's pretty safe to put in the "They ain't tellin us shit" vault. Something still feels a bit off to me about it, but I can't decide on what it is.
I agree we'll probably never know what did it in the end, although in my opinion something about future gens (EN, ID) as someone mentioned earlier seems probable.
That would also explain the lack of sympathy from her colleagues, especially if she leaked it to that drama channel.
The only thing worse i can think of is that she really got blackmailed into leaking the adresses of some members or something.
In that case it might be for the better that we won't know exactly what it is, i can imagine the general sentiment shifting from 'too bad but there's nothing to be done' to actual hostility towards her if that comes out.

Also i'm kinda pissed Kiara canceled the Holobirds collab for that.

If Hololive owns all the character rights, I'm surprised they don't just replace her. Sure there will be some push back but you're handing the channel with a few million subs to a new person instead of trying to build them back up with some new character.
I think we should try it out. I mean come on, the people who watch Vtubers aren't that autistically retarded, they'll be fine with such a change.

Since the Bakatare clip was up, designated Mio TL/clipper has her little bit up as well. I can't vouch for any repute or accuracy though since I know fuck all for Japanese.

Still seems to be on trend for most anyone else so far. Refer to it as "The announcement" then say something moderately vague about it then maybe give a 5 word sentence of personal feeling about it or go "such is life."

Truth be told, unless something wild comes out this probably isn't going to matter much longer from the look of it. We're at like what, 7 or so JP girls who basically are just trying to business as usual. 3 ENs have been thrown off, and only 1 of those even doing a "Wtf?" which just implies to me for some reason they didn't even properly communicate it around the other branches. Ollie's only reference in tweet was that she also decided to not stream apparently due to "Waking up on a cloudy morning." So I guess EN/ID potentially got blindsided by it.

Call me a bleeding heart
I'll just call you ignorant instead, like literally everyone except the people in the know. Hard to say what 'time' she deserves when we don't really know the 'crime'.

That is probably the least surprising part of this whole thing tbh, Japanese companies not keeping gaijins in the loop is pretty much standard.

This feels a bit too harsh. You have to remember a huge chunk of the audience doesnt roll in the mud to find out every single nasty detail.

We are all just rrat's at the end of the day mate, that is all there is to it. Unless Rushia goes full menhera and puts Cover on blast we are never going to know what happened and by extension whether it was justified or not.

Do you know the Game Club Project, four vtubers that have their voice actor replaced one by one?

https://virtualyoutuber.fandom.com/wiki/Game_Club_Project

It just doesn't sit right to people, cause it feels like you are handing a skin of a person who have been wearing it for a couple of years to another that pretend to be that person, to be honest it's fucking gross for a company and also as a human being.

And don't forget the Kizuna Ai incident.

The real litmus test is not how the other Hololive talents react to this. There are many things that could affect it, such as whether they are under NDA, whether they were personally affected, etc. Besides, they're not dumb enough to say things that would jeopardize their own position.

The question is what happens after, and how independent creators (who are not drama or reaction channels) respond. For example, if kson never mentions her name again, that means it well and truly was some serious shit. So far I have not seen strong reactions from roommate accounts, Qui tacet consentit may apply.

Seems like Rushia has been sending personalized messages to her gachis - and they don't seem to be corporate initiated ones

am I late?

One of Rushias biggest gachi is claiming that she was secretly sending them messages and personal thank you videos. She even says in the message that she can get in trouble if she gets caught. Might be a main reason that she got fired.

EDIT: Another gachi has leaked their personal thank you video. https://twitter.com/WhiteM0719/status/1496810010990747650?t=Q-hIOM8h_JfK6PTV-BtT2A&s=19

Pretty standard. Mio is not going to rock the boat and I don't recall her actually being that friendly with Rushia. Mio will just do what Fubuki does.

Was anyone really that friendly with Rushia towards the end? She didn't seem to Collab too much looking at her last few months of vids apart from like 2 Collab with HoloX when they debuted.

Dude, no offense, but you know very little about vtubers if you think something like this would go even remotely well. Just look at Kizuna AI and that agency that tried to replace voice actors. No chance a move this retarded would work out for a even bigger vtuber agency like Hololive.

I know, I need to work on my PhD in Vtubing.

I said it would be funny. It would be. I would crack up if tomorrow some random new person was voicing Rushia because the reaction would be hilarious.

Ooo it all coming out now. Maybe we are really underestimating just how deep this rabbit hole goes. Somehow Im not even remotely suprised though.

Someone is gonna spill the beans, it just a case of when at this point.
