With all due respect boss, I think you're under the assumption that most people have your knowledge or life experience. Most people go through out their day never thinking about dick snippers because it's not in their face or actually affects them, unlike you and the site. To use this as an example, Pikamee has never had to deal with it in her entire life so when she has people screeching at her from out of nowhere, telling her she's evil and she should kill herself for wanting to play a video game and all of the politics behind it are literally foreign to her, that comes off as one hell of a shock. Couple this with Pika, who's talked about the bullying she got from teachers/fellow students/everyone growing up in Japan because of her blonde hair, finding openness and acceptance from her western audience until this happening and it's unsurprising that she'd hang up the towel. I think what joy she got from streaming is gone now.

think it also depends on the mid-to-far future. quitting your job gives you a lot of free time most people simply can't handle, so either she finds something else to keep her busy to slowly move on from her vtuber-gig or gets so bored out of her mind she might get back to it in some form (maybe even as manager or assistant etc.).
