Ah of course. No Visual Novel Protagonist's bedroom is complete without the Doug Walker cosplay.

The horrific thing is that it might actually be intentional.
Hellooooo I'm the VN critic, I disappoint my parents so you don't have to.
I feel like VNs are the least bad of modern niche genres. At least playing them usually removes the aspect of speed running or needlessly challenging gameplay.

I break my hands learning old fighting games on days when I have work, and read for 10 hours on my days off. I am gaming at all levels of the spectrum, autistic and otherwise.

There is a JP physical copy that has English, you might be able to find a better price for that.
That's a good idea, thanks for the heads up.

The H patch isn't just sex scenes, it also contains all of the raunchy jokes that the all ages version had to cut.
That sucks, I get removing the sex but jokes too...?

You're probably right, it's likely more difficult to inject woke shit into them since they seem to come from smaller companies that probably don't ride the DEI dick.

I'm about half-ish way through Touka route. So, I can't speak for any of the others. She's the obvious poster girl for the game, and she most likely had the most effort put into her route. That being said, Tsukikana will probably end up being my goty.

Tsuki de Kanata de Aimashou. It isn't in English right now, so I'm using a text hooker to help me read it. Definitely worth the trouble for this one.
That's awesome. It seems fun just from what you've shown everyone. Was not expecting a nostalga critic reference.

I got White Album remake today. It was sitting on my steam wishlist long enough. Gonna play more when I get home, but just from the prologue, it feels really solid. I like the art and the general premise.

I honestly doubt it was intentional. After all, how many people on earth do you think are dressed up in a blazer and red tie right now? Probably a couple tens of millions of people.

But still... it's funny to think about.

I just know that this frame in a anime exists. Could be a coincidence with this game. But like Garak, I don't trust Coincidences. If more references show up to obscure internet stuff... the studio behind this game is KINO.

I think this was from Durarara or something. Either that, or a dedicated comedy show. If it was the former, that would make it doubly ironic, because it's about obscure internet cultures.

2000s anime and VN's were special. So many references to the internet. It's like the Japanese woke up and just realized what a web browser was one day and wanted to shove in every geek reference they could.

Raging Loop
This one ended appearing on my discovery list on steam and added it to wishlists out of curiosity. Mind giving a very high level pitch? Also, is it one of those VN where I need to download some random uncensoring patch?
"Your Turn To Die - Death Game By The Majority" also is a game to check out if you like horror VNs. It's still in early access, but when it's out, I recommend it too.
I'm also a sucker for Danganronpa. Would this one scratch the itch. Have played through like the first 2 big chapters of Rain Code but it ain't scratching the itch and is in the "come back to some day" pile.

Tsuki de Kanata de Aimashou.
Imagine you've been sending text messages to yourself from 8 years ago, and one day he sends you a message "Congrats, you aren't a virgin anymore. Also, I killed a guy."
Like two fundamental aspects of your own self image, so thoroughly ingrained into your own understanding of yourself, obliterated. Just because you wanted to help you from a long time ago with their game.
