They mostly agreed on everything, just minor quibbles here and there.

For the retard juice, Nate's point seemed to be more of the "It's only mandated in like 5 states so everyone is overreacting saying that the mandates are a huge deal" which is cold comfort not just for the people who live in those states, but also for those living outside the US like Viva. When Viva mentions the absolute nightmare hellscape that is the Canadian experience under Covid rules, Nate was very shocked and sympathetic.

For the Jan 6 retard riot, it was mostly a semantic non-argument about whether or not the security people knowing about it beforehand and not doing anything about it counts as an inside job/setup.

Not worth watching tbh.

Thanks for the recap. I read somewhere that Nate "exposed himself" as a real lefty and not just a centrist.. but anyone should have known that already. Was curious what the deal with that was.

No need to dunk on him, just don't defend him like he's your beloved or something. Give a bland Razorfist statement like "We don't comment on fellow streamers" or something.

Their general stance seemed to be that they didn't like the idea of destroying the guy over this issue while recognizing that he did mess up. Pretty straightforward stuff.

He was a cop, then a prosecutor in DC. I don’t know about being a hard leftist, but he’s certainly a statist. He’s rolling with a bunch of libertarian YouTube lawyers though, so he can’t go full mask off all the time.

Barnes talked about it last night on Rekieta, said Viva only cares about Canada and FREEDOM! and doesn't want to get sidetracked with controversial stuff, while Barnes doesn't care but was pushing back because the chats were getting brigaded and it was upsetting Viva. Also Jack Murphy has a short fuse because he doesn't like being challenged in a non-gentlemanly way or something, and apparently he was getting agitated with Viva over really minor stuff.

Well, he finally done did it. We don't have to wait for David Freiheit's summer blockbuster Escape from Ottowa any longer.

As of the July 3 stream, Viva and his family have relocated (at least temporarily) to Florida. Barnes was off for the holiday weekend, and Viva was streaming from a hotel room and being a little coy about where he was and how long they'd be staying... but when you sell your old house, it strikes me as reasonable to think it's not just a short jaunt. He mentioned in response to a chat that they'd be in Burgerland for at least 3 years, though he said that's not a hard number right now and it sounded like he and the wife are trying to make it permanent or at least trying to extend it beyond that.
