I agree, not having a job or going to college makes life boring very fast. Jace had a job in the past and briefly enrolled in college, but in his current condition he couldn't handle either one, which means he has a lot of time to be bored.
That's probably why at the time he was uploading the video, he was freaking out at people on twitter for calling him a marine when he's always been a navy seal

I'm predicting a cycle:
1: Jace goes sober.
2: In his newfound clarify, Jace realizes how depressing his life has become.
3: Jace goes back to drugs and skipping his anti-pych meds.
4: Jace spirals out of control until returning to point 1.

Yes, Jace, it is. Actual writers, though, understand how much work it is and do it anyway, because it's our passion. We work at other jobs to support ourselves unless and until we produce work that gets published and brings in enough to live on. For a hobbyist writer, it may not be worth it, and they may be better off doing something else.
Jace and boredom are a dangerous combination. He has zero patience and no tolerance whatsoever for being inconvenienced or subjected to things he doesn't like, so unless Rob is going to pal around with him for Jace's every waking moment - which, I imagine Rob has a job and other responsibilities so that's not happening - it's only a matter of time before Jace starts hanging out with his worthless stoner juggalo friends again or subjecting himself to other self-destructive habits.
That coupled with his inability to handle the truth about his miserable existence means that I'm pretty sure we're going to be seeing more tardraging before the end of the month. Hell, maybe even before the end of the week.
It would be great if he did, but I honestly doubt it will happen. Jace is a drug addict with mental problems; if he wants to overcome the numerous obstacles standing between him and a healthy, normal life, he's going to have to really work at it. It would require a lot of work with little to no immediate payoff. Jace has neither the patience to handle that, nor the discipline and self-control to keep pushing onward and resist his old, destructive coping mechanisms, nor the desire to learn how to instill that discipline in himself. He might be able to if he had an appropriate support system - but living at home, with his crazy fundie mother, and access to his drugs and other people that enable his shitty stoner lifestyle, he doesn't stand a chance.

Jace is upset because can't find anyone to hang out with because they have school/work responsibilities (which he calls selfish) and he's afraid that he might have to resort to hanging out with Tyce who is in the midst of a Jenkem bender.
He also claims he's "sober on his own terms" which means he's going to AA but still smoking weed.
They call it the Marijuana Maintenance program. Alcohols sub weed for drinking, seems to work for some people. Everyone I ever knew that did AA was super against it though. But I don't think that's why Jace is still smoking weed. He just loves weed.
But you don't understand! It's the Infinitely High College Factor that takes all the kool juggalos and leaves none for Jace to chose from. And plus, he's lonely without his high school Joy Boys, too!
I swear, I keep learning so damned much from Smutley. First about AIDS prevention, and then about Jace in quick-and-easy-to-understand synopses. Were that the CWCki had more of him.
I think that its selfish to have a job or responsibility attitude is fairly common amongst people are having problems adjusting to adult life. I've had people get pissed at me for spending time with my wife and kid and not hanging out with my friends as much.
Growing up is fucking tough, even if you're not a lolcow.
I guess there are no skate shops in Massachusetts. Of course, maybe there are but Jace won't go to them because he'll feel bad about having a crap Walmart board instead of a nice quality deck, trucks and wheels.
But I think Jace should get a hobby besides vidya and blazing. It would be good for him.
That's one thing I don't get about some of Jace's "friends." They claim they're helping him by encouraging his delusions when doing so is actually harmful to Jace. If they really were Jace's friends they wouldn't tolerate his idiot fantasies. Weird.

After the vlog yesterday I pretty much the whole "hang out with me because I'm the important one" shit is just another arm of this God complex he has. It doesnt seem as bad when he is "sober" but it still exists. If he's so bored I wouldn't be surprised to see the livestream come back early because he literally gets no other social interaction otherwise
I was first going to call him on narcissism here. Then I realised that Jace probably just doesn't get that people who work or go to college tend to be unavailable for certain parts of the day, because, uh, they go to work or college. Seems to me that unlike your average person, Jace is completely able to forget little details like that. Never attribute to malice that which can be explained by 24h-blazing-induced stupidity.
