Someone was such a monster to her they invited her for a drink (gasp!), most likely to cheer her up after her mother's death.

As a reminder, Ghost deleted covetous and trust fall, but did not delete the song she made that references a nazi dogwhistle or the distortionist.

I like how she spins absolutely everything into her being a victim, one way or another. Poisoned my roommate over a schizo meltdown about imaginary mold? Actually, I’m the victim. Ran a 14 year old off the internet? Actually, they cyberbullied me first (which makes me think of the old Tyler tweet, lol). Get a therapist? Actually, I’m a schizo-holic polygragmented system who suffers quasi-psychotic episodes, and you suggesting that I seek help is ableist. This is what happens when you spend nearly three quarters of your life on tumblr.

Did she just compare being emotionally abused by her parents to being called out about poisoning her roommate and driving a 14 year old off the internet? Or am I being retarded and misunderstanding what she said?
 
Ghost has reuploaded covetous, adding some content warnings this time. Though it needs to be noted the presence of flickering lights is taken more seriously than the triggering content itself.

It's also fairly hard to read if you have your brightness turned down even the tiniest bit. Not very visually-impaired accessible of you, Shay.
Some people mention in the comments she has added more subliminal text to underline her schizo babble.

Other than that, the comments are fairly mixed between defending her and saying this does not erase her mistakes nor the controversies she found herself in.

She's deleted the previous community post about trust fall, in which people were telling her to address the controversies. In its stead she's posted this

the reason why the comments are "mixed" is because ghost is deleting negative comments about their behavior. if that wasn't being done i would promise you that the comments would be at least 80% negative.
i know this because people are editing their comments on the community post to point this out.

I wish we had a reaction sticker for confusion. Rated you informative but I wish I could have rated you ???????. She is not beating the schizo meltdown allegations.
For those who do not want to listen to anything Ghost releases (which is understandable), this is 13:22 minutes of metallic droning with occasional spooky sounds up until the 10:30 mark where it adds random noise. Most of it sounds like my lawnmower dying after swallowing one too many squeaky dog toy.

Anyway this is such classic Ghost it's nostalgic lol; I remember when it was a mark of pride as an edgy tween to listen to her more deliberately obnoxious posts and pretend to enjoy them. Like wowwww we're so troubled and disturbed, Ghost and I, that this crap is just normal to us. Music theory is overrated.

I have not encountered one of those posts you mention that is as incoherent and empty as -born is. Even her more... musically incoherent songs like Perfect Nothing have something resembling a melody hiding behind the horrible bass-boosted noise, but I have only found Ghost very late into her career (a year after Honey I'm Home I believe). Have any of those empty glorified shitposts survived or been archived?
(unfortunately I don't think Lunacy does a good job at conveying the sheer confusion I felt upon starting -born. Lunacy feels somewhat adjacent to Horrifying in a more disturbed way, but this is just noise, it's not uncanny or troubling.)

Honestly, I don't think any of them were quite this bad, and it's been long enough that I don't remember which specific song(s) I'm thinking of anyway. But it feels familiar behavior-wise: deliberately jarring and (borderline) unlistenable out of spite.
That said there is an archive of Ghost's work here (Google Drive link, be careful if logged in). Idk if it's been posted in the thread before or whether it's been fully complete but if you're curious about her early work then there you go.

Oh fair enough; to me "Lunacy" is the "wtf lmao" rating usually.
