I reckon that most people, whenever they read comments on the Internet (social media, Kiwifarms, etc), do so mentally in a voice with its own pitch and characteristics. It may be possible that when you read, you just parse the info without any "sound", but that's not what this thread is about.

So for your case, do you alter the voice in which you read comments, depending on the author?
I believe the most normal case should be a neutral tone of your own one, but in occasions that could change. Like for example, if you know the author is British, Australian, (insert ethnicity), man, woman, etc... if they're overusing uppercase, if they use certain expressions (like: "daaaamn!", "lol", "OMG", "fr", (alongside emojis), etc), or even based on their profile picture, the tone would adapt accordingly.

The poll should have a maximum number of votes of 2, if you want to do so without memeing you can distribute 1 for between the two first options, and the other vote between the four other options/the rest.

It's impossible for me to tell what my inner voice sounds like once I try to actually focus on it. It's just there, it has not accent or pitch, shy motherfucker

I mostly read it in my own voice. Even though I have to admit I never actually think about it.

The only exception being when I actually know the voice of the user, then I'll most often read it in their voice and tone.

I usually read posts from you guys im my own voice, but when its someone like ralph or chris then i cant help it xd

Couldn't tell you. I don't hear my inner voice as sound, it's just there.
Yeah I don't really sound out words as I read. They're sort of processed as their own thing.

Maybe that's weird, I think it's probably just a consequence of treating writing as an entity separate from speaking.

I read everything here in the voice of an annoying white girl except for @MrTroll of whom I read in the voice of Homer Simpson.

Edit: and @murph of whom I read in the voice of Wednesday Addams.
