Checked on this person their Twitter and 99,9% of its contents is made of Shiro fucking Keith, Keith fucking Shiro, Shiro and Keith being sex-ay, Shiro and Keith having no personality traits other than being sexily wrapped around each other, etc. That's telling as FUCK if you ask me.

Way too many Sheith "fans" sincerely think that Shiro and Keith are nothing without one another even, when iirc a part of Keith's character development was about caring for Shiro yet bonding with other people too (his fellow Paladins, his long-lost mom, a certain Space Wolf he raises, a half-Galra lady who used to be an enemy, etc.) IDK why these people latch so much on such an OOC and boring view of Keith as pretty much a leech on Shiro's back and Shiro as nothing but Keith's walking dildo. It's such a disrespect not just to their characters, but to the SHIP they claim to love too.

Keith was one of the most base-breaking characters before the finale, when suddenly he "deserved better" because he didn't get the cock and people realized they could project their own love woes onto him.

iirc the writers couldn't write Keith as well as they wished because his VA, Steven Yeung, had serious schedule troubles that clashed with the VLD schedule, forcing them to reduce Keith's overall role in the story (ie, iirc he was supposed to interact more with Lotor).

The fans have no excuses, though: they only saw him as their precious self-insert that they project their creepy and childish views of love on, which explains why they see EVERY single axction of Keith's towards Shiro as SO OBVIOUSLY ROMANTIC (when imo it can go either way; I like the idea of said actions being romantic, but it's not the only prospect explanation) and why they threw gigantic tantrums over Keith not being given the lock and key to Shiro's dick.

Or Coran was deeply in love with Alfor because he wept during that one flashback in S8 when Alfor was saying goodbye before he went off to die by Zarkon! Oh wait that's canon. (I kid, I kid.)

Considering Steven Yeun's limited availability for those two seasons, Keith ended up being one of the best developed characters on the show. It was slightly rushed in places, but we still got to see him go from pretending to be a surly loner to embracing his heritage and his friends and his position as leader. And it was awesome.

Joke's on her because Lance had some of the best character development on the show. Dude went from a showoff attention whore who deserved to get scolded by his teammates for being a brat to a competent badass right-hand man who wanted what was best for his team and was willing to risk his life for his loved ones, who were hella proud of him for growing into the kind of guy they knew he could be.

It’s really interesting because there are some interesting points to be made. I personally do think it’s weird that female LGBT seems to get more rep than male LGBT. And Catradora has some elements that would come off as “problematic” if it were a man and a woman (among other problems with the writing).

But of course, it’s all just smoke and mirrors for much more banal issues; Sheith fans are just butthurt that their personal ship didn’t become canon and are taking their impotent rage out on other people. Catradora fans are a little too obsessed with their ship and are way too damn defensive over it. These Sheith fans were absolutely horrified when Lion Forge announced that the comics would focus on Shiro and Curtis’ relationship and harassed one of the writers for being excited over it until he apologized. They also celebrated when the comics were cancelled for economic reasons and treated it like a victory for TEH GHEIS.
