I am curious if an EASI-style system could work with VRChat, but it would probably be a nightmare to run considering lewd avatars are basically the majority of VRC activity.

This is not true, and I wish it was because then at least some of them would be off the streets. These are your own misinformed biases. For years I’ve article after article about white men raping single-digit age children and getting community service or a suspended sentence (aka probation), and watched advocates fail as judges tell them the system is working as intended. It’s not rare, not a mistake or a one off, it’s in their sentencing guidelines. Especially when they’re under 25, because their brains aren’t fully developed - that is their genuine reasoning. They don’t all get away with it, if there’s aspects of blackmail for instance it can increase, and it depends on the judge, but we are talking about a country that has almost decriminalised child pornography possession with lack of enforcement. As has been a trend in most European/liberal countries, to avoid custodial sentences under the guise of rehabilitation but really is to save costs. A reason why aspects of for-profit prisons have their place, by the way.

The brown people don’t even get arrested to begin with. Female offenders are rare and for every low sentence they get that sparks outrage, what you’re not seeing is the local news reporting where multiple men the same week get the same for similar crimes.

Not seeking to derail so I won’t reply to anyone else about this but people really, really to be aware, especially if they’re from the UK or Ireland/EU. It won’t ever change if people keep turning a blind eye because it’s unpleasant to know.

VRChat has so much porn and grooming I've intentionally avoided making videos in it so as not to encourage any of my fans to install it. It's the only platform I can think of with a higher concentration of child predators than Roblox.
 
I just saw the announcement on the front page about "dating apps for 13+ members" or whatever. Adolescent "relationships" are a bad joke as it is, but I suppose they saw tweens stealing their parents' credit cards to pay for Fortnite skins and wanted a piece of the pilfered pie.

Seriously WTF, I'm so glad I'm a grown-up now and don't have to deal with that shit.

And the cheating is also pretty mild. He was in some kind of online relationship with some other vr user? At least, thats what im getting from the comments. I didnt read into it because zoomer drama is mostly boring.Not a jab at you, I like some good infighting on a random youtube niche so sharing was nice.

Honestly I wasn't allowed to have Internet at home so I cheesed it by using the school computer lab on occasion. Flash games and AlbinoBlackSheep were the cat's meow back in the day.

I never had a personal device back in the day but honestly that was probably for the best. Not that flip phones could surf random internet forums but for many people it was the start of a bad habit.

If you want to pass the time at school, there is something for that. It's called assignments.

The worst part about it is even kids who don't have access to a laptop or computer have the ability to download it since the big brains who run VRChat made the game accessible to mobile devices and every kid has an iPad or smartphone these days. They know what they are doing and it's awful. I have mad respect for you Ruben for pointing out this issue regarding young audiences being influenced by creators they look up to, but it's genuinely the fault of VRChat for building a dangerous environment to begin with. I believe I have mentioned it prior in this thread that minors like to try to make VRChat predator hunting videos of their own which is insane because these kids think all predators are as stupid as they see in most of these Virtual TCAP videos when there are genuinely dangerous ones out there who have never been caught by law enforcement who are likely the types to take it as a challenge. Unfortunately a catch 22 because not speaking up or making it know let's it get worse. It's stomach turning.
