Fortunately at least the organized and civilized Italian VRChat communities actively take action against pedophiles and spread the story about them to any newfags whenever possible. One funny detail is that a lot of Italians on VRC are over 40 years old, though they aren't the pedos and they avoid little kids like the plague (some of them have irl kids of their own too).

The biggest problem is retarded interpersonal drama that indirectly involves everyone due to Italian communities being close-knit everyone knows everyone type of communities, with many even knowing each other IRL.

I myself went on a break last year because I got tired of getting sucked into retarded drama stirred up by a retard who can't make up his mind whether he's a troon or not, something even a fellow Italian who's an actual "certified" troon told me. Fucker faked his death even, with his gf, a fellow jannie at the time, being in on it. She did get demoted and both got banned too from what I know.

It just wasn't worth the hassle, no new milfs either. I just went back to touching grass, petting neighborhood cats, taking pictures of said cats, sending them to some VRC milfs, and radio DXing, while remaining in touch with civilized people in other ways. I even cut back on energy drink consumption by 50%.

TL;DR As someone with on the ground VRC experience, the good news is that within actual organized communities pedos are very rare and dealt with swiftly, while screeching kids are actively avoided and chased away.

I say this as someone who owns a headset and has tried a good chunk of the big VR games: pretty much every online VR game is overrun with people like that. It's not exclusively a VRChat problem. Most other VR games already have very low player counts, and VRC seems to be the only real exception to the rule. Pavlov and Contractors don't have consistent player bases due to numerous poor decisions by the devs (I'd go more into that, but I think that's unrelated to this thread), and the people who do play consistently will probably destroy you because they've been playing the game 24/7.

But in all seriousness, you probably shouldn't buy a VR headset at all in Current Year, as most of the worthwhile games are either single-player (Half-Life: Alyx, Beat Saber), optional bonus VR modes added to already good games (Tetris Effect, Payday 2, Hitman: World of Assassination), broken VR ports that cost more than the original game and are still being sold despite being completely nonfunctional (Borderlands 2 VR), fan-made, hacked-together VR mods for existing games of varying quality, or VRChat.

I see VRC like Discord: while next to nothing good seems to come out of public areas or groups, a lot of people still use it for casual gatherings with their existing friend groups. During Covid, I had a group of friends in VRC where we'd shoot the shit a few times a week and were generally shielded from the horrifying degeneracy in the rest of the game, but I'd consider my experience pretty fringe. It wasn't until after the lockdowns that I started browsing more public areas and saw the horrors that were truly unfolding throughout the rest of the game.

I've noticed this all too, I have a younger family member who has a meta quest 3s Headset and he says some sus shit sometimes. It's good that he's in the living room most of the time so we can hear what he's saying, I'll keep an eye on him. That's ok because I have no interest in PvP and social games although I might look at pavlov.

I've also noticed that the VR mod community is carrying the whole VR Scene with in depth mods (with shit like manual reload and weapon interactions) like L4D2VR, the resident evil mods for the REmakes, and so on. Being PC master race always pays off.

I'm looking at HL:A, Metro Awakening, and Gunman contracts - Stand Alone on sep 10th for official games. I also heard Into the Radius is basically STALKER lite so I'll look at that too.

I'll give my family member's headset a try and see if I like it.

As someone with 5-6 years of consistent experience, yes and no.

You will find many faggots, but you will also find many non faggots...and many screeching kids too unfortunately. In VRChat YOU yourself build your own friend group more or less like in real life. If you have some basic real life human interaction skills, you shouldn't have problems with that.

The most normal people I encountered hung out at the Japan shrine world surprisingly. And try to join European and Japanese lobbies when possible. VRChat also has plenty of game worlds, but they tend to be played best with friends and friends of friends, as random lobbies tend to have lots of kids. AVOID THE BLACK CAT WORLD LIKE THE PLAGUE! Especially the American lobbies are full of kids.

Unreal engine has a full VR wrapper for it. Was using it to play mechwarrior 5 a while back and it was a blast. Especially if you pair it with a flight stick. It looks like Glass got Ao Deadly and Milo Murphy to do some dirty work for him by claiming that UrghBla posted CSAM within his Discord server. Glass tried claiming these same pictures were CSAM prior, but it fell flat on its face when it was discovered where the imagery actually came from. (an art gallery)

And would distribute such material also on the same day via a Google Drive link (which is still up).


Reverse image search reveals it to be actually a sculpture by Sam Jinks. It's available on his own website. It was in an art exhibit in 2023.

Urghbla is aspiring to become the Drama Alert of VRChat (his own words). In doing so he has already gathered a cast similar to lolcow live except they are all denizens of VRChat (Glass, AoDeadly, Caido, Sileskios etc..). Most of the denizens featured have achieved some sort of lolcowdom because of their own controversies, mistakes, or proclivities that they make themselves known for on the Internet. As you can imagine, most of these retards don't like to be put on blast. Especially from someone like Urghbla who can come off as smug or arrogant. These VRChat Fail Trolls and lolcows almost never respond positivly to this so now we are getting to witness a falling out amongst many of Urghblas scorned lovers who now are teaming up against him. This roster includes people with pedophile tendencies like Timothy Allen Jenkins a.k.a. Glass. But these retards are willing to put aside facts like that if it means being able to team up for a chance to one up Urghbla.

When it comes to the MiloMurphyXD situation there is a bit more nuance to it. Milo is someone that tried to become famous by association (a very noticeable pattern that is displayed amongst the VRChat Trolling Niche). Milo aligned himself closely with ProximityChat and also Daniel Ackerman, argueably two of the heaviest hitters on the scene. One thing led to another and the fame started getting to Milo's head and he began to align himself closer with the drama side of VRChat that is mainly covered by Urghbla. They began discording and streaming together around the time that Sileskios was outted for being a weird faggy catboy and having minors do sting operations. Not long after that reports of Milo's past and history of Rec Room debauchery was made public and Urghbla began covering his controversies. Milo took this time to transition publicly through community and discord posts. Some have speculated that this was done in order to take away focus on their checkered past. One thing led to another and now we have Milo, Glass, AoDeadly and possibly others now trying to enact some Mutually Assured Destruction plan between themselves and Urghbla. A group of jaded faggy retards who apparently have the goal of cementing themselves in Internet history as disgraced predcatchers, Fail Trolls and VRChat lolcows.

This isn't a defense of Urghbla either. More of a bird's eye view of the current situation. I am sure anyone could find more info with enough digging. This is just my field of study.

With the return of the Salt Mine board, I have been thinking of mirthful content to help enrich the board with. After some thinking I came to the conclusion that I get a lot of mirth from the brave people who go into the trenches of VRChat and Roblox (Metaverse games as they a called) and throughly find, document, and expose the sick degenerates that line the sewers of these games. The YouTuber ProximityChat in particular is a person I enjoy the most, as I find him to be the least obnoxious of these content creators.

These Metaverse Preadtor Hunters (or Metaverse Trolls as many a victim person would call them) are in my opinion a great source of mirth and I think a combined thread celebrating these heros in a neccesity. I am writing here today for two reasons:
1.) I do not find it appropriate to be starting this thread without the blessing and insight of people who have a larger interest in this than I, as I am not a thread regular.

If there is an interest in this, then that would lead to my second reason:
2.) If there are people with an interest in this thread, would you have an interest in contributing to said thread?

I am not the best writing, but I think this is a mirthful idea. I am also more than willing to let someone take this idea and run, so if you want to take this idea, more power to you.
