I was first interested in Pippa from the 4chan and KF memes expecting a retard rabbit, but in fact I found someone who's very intelligent, sincere and understanding. When she gets into her zatsudans she can get very philosophical, her interviews are like cross-examinations, her stories about menhera struggles were relatable, and she had always something very profound to say about various topics, not just from internet culture but also about life, existence and everything. I've watched and even downloaded her Life improvement stream, and her life philosophy has a lot in common with Existentialism and Absurdism. We had a mutual understanding, and thus I've signed her Contract that nobody is going to off themselves unless she dies first. When I got mindbroken when Kson fell to Vshojo, it was Pippa (who handled the Vshojo issue very professionally) who became my crutch, and with the release of her song about her life, I became even more ultraparasocial. The original lyrics called her Messiah, and I concurred. After all, with Her Holy Contract, Pippa did save me from heroing myself by promising to do it first. I fell in love with her, and she became my new Saviour....

...until she revealed she wanted to communicate with the filthy bugmen. The shame of my past came to haunt me again. I got mindbroken by Kson, so I wanted to protect Pippa (and Lumi as well) so that history would not repeat itself.

I’m so tired of seeing faggots malding about this. They were never really fans if something such as moving to a corporation and still keeping the same content makes them angry. It’s on par with the people who claim they’ll drop their memberships (they won’t) if their favorite holomyth oshi does a collab with a member of holostars.

Its because people advertise the thread on twitter and other social media sites. I feel like most people in that thread don't even look at the rest of the site and possibly don't know what lolcows are. I doubt they get embarrassed by people like Nolan and Ikari because theres so many people like them in the vtuber fanbase.

It's moreso that VShoujo has garnered a not-so-stellar reputation.
Again, I have to stress the whole phishing/Nux fiasco where an indie talent not only got her info taken but also got swatted.
Someone could have died there and VShoujo couldn't bother putting out a PSA statement "Hey! There is a phisher impersonating us, please be careful who you reply to. We are looking into the issue. Please stand-by for further statements regarding the matter."
When Nux did put out his video on the matter, love him or hate him, he did more than what VShoujo did and the girls knifed him faster than Julius Caesar. So, with that perspective, maybe you can understand why some people were apprehensive about KSon.

Tried that too, didn't work either. He was there right after the initial autism breakout, I remember checking, but he was gone when I made my first post. Unless he blocked me, specifically, for some reason, even though I posted maybe twice in that discord and never interacted with him. (And am not retarded enough to use the same username/pfp as here)

Easy way to check if he's real on your end would be to click on him and see if he still has any discord roles.

There's two points here I think are important to address, and I'll start with #2. If you're a 'relatively normal' adult, you're basically the kings of the typical anime nerd. If you have a job, don't live with your parents, and can talk with people normally you basically intimidate the fuck out of them. Conversely, as a well adjusted anime fan you learn very quickly to ignore the turbo weebs because they're so deep into their own niches there's almost no point in trying to interact with and change them. So it's best to just pretend they aren't there typically.

Regarding the popularity of the thread: It's no secret that almost every place to discuss vTubers is pozzed in some way. Reddit is Reddit. /vt/ is filled with schizos and the Janitors are biased pieces of tranny jannie shit (see the obvious bias they displayed towards Artemis we noticed). Hell, I even documented how the discussion of vTubers got banned on something awful.

It's basically an open secret that the thread here is the most 'neutral' place to discuss vTubers that isn't completely an astroturfed hugbox, or a schizo infested hive. I do wish we'd see the people branching out and discussing other topics on the site. But as I mentioned in the last point, you can't force the obsessive niche hobbyist to look beyond their narrow view.
