True. At the same time, Silicon Valley CEOs (particularly Indian immigrants) are mercenaries. If prevailing winds change on trans bullshit they'll be caught between activist employees and the public. My friend who has full Japanese ancestry but is 100% 'murican (4th/5th-gen, full gaijin, no dual citizenship or anything like that) recently came back from a vacation to Japan. The amount of implied social pressure to "fit in" was insane. He also had to explain multiple times to native Japanese people that, no, he's not "hafu" or "mixed," his entire lineage is Japanese ancestry; no whitey/SEA marriages. The fact that there are people who look native Japanese but don't speak a lick of Japanese just blows their minds.
