With how insecure energy is right now, I'll keep my ICE car man. Can't take that type of electric bill if nat gas prices suddenly go up. As for what I said, it's just the stereotype of what I've seen. On its own I like the teardrop shape, it looks neat, but half the time I see tranny stickers and other cringe on them. Two issues with this. One being this is a perfect example of why it's so awkward when these streamers overshare personal information despite having the cartoon puppet as a barrier to hide behind. "You guys accept me for who I am" is a little dishonest because of the avatar.

I hate to break the illusion but despite the popular belief a huge percentage of vtubers are not men with voice changers. They are women, and worse they are some form of terminally online. Their streaming is a form of escapism until they can actually turn it profitable. In many cases they're only outlet to vent is to talk to their chat and oversharing is very typical. This isn't to excuse it but more to explain it.

Just to give a little pushback, I would argue that being behind an avatar grants a level of anonymity and allows people to be a little more open than they'd usually be.

Second, I do feel bad for mistreatment, but also why did her parents not stand up for her and give her pride in her real looks? That's what's really upsetting there...

Her father is America and resides in Texas. I'm not sure the exact relationship he has with her mother but I don't think there's much he could've done anyways. As for the Japanese side, I know she's talked about her grandparents being kind of distant with her, like not hugging and stuff. I don't know if that's just a nip thing or if they weren't thrilled with their half breed grand daughter.

For her looks, blonde hair is seen as being degenerate rebel or thug. Hair in Japan runs from black to chestnut so the only way for someone to get that color is for it to either be genetic, not common, or dye it, very common. Even if her mom did go and scream at all of the school board and faculty Pika would be then saw as the punk child of an unruly mother. Weeaboos have this almost Disney like view of grorious Nippon and think that they can just uproot and plop there, completely unaware that they look different from every other person there and will forever be an "other". This is what makes what happened to Pika so heartbreaking. The one place she was accepted and she got attacked and vilified for something she didn't even do.
