VTuber Pikamee retires from streaming after trans pushback over Hogwarts Legacy

All the american trannies larping as commies are really just libertarians who want some gibs to consoom product. The american culture war is dumb and makes no sense for the rest of the planet, except for maybe the UK and Canada
Isn't Western Europe facing its own culture war, particularly in terms of how the state should deal with mass-migration? You've got NGOs all but aiding and abetting illegal immigration into places like Italy, Germany, France, and the UK, people being called racist for calling that shit out, and the like. Even in the EU, Western Europe is increasingly alienating Eastern Europe over things such as their "backwards" and "regressive" culture, which just means that Eastern Europe has a dim view of LGBTQA+ shit.

Don't think that just because men in dresses aren't a hot topic in your own country's socio-politics, that it doesn't have its own "culture war". Hell, I'd argue that battles over culture is a natural and intrinsic part of politics in most countries. It might not be over the same hot button issues that America has, but they'll still be there.

I mean, is there anybody that still cares about whatever Kotaku writes?
Wikipedia editors I suppose. I am sure they use Kotaku as a verified source for their citations. Also, Tranny Jannies are working overtime deleting anything related to this on /vt/. I caught a 3 day ban for a post saying if people wanted to talk about this "they should go to the New Zealand Farm".

What Wikipedia considers a "verified source" is a huge sign of just how badly run the whole thing is.

You can't have any primary sources for cultural topics (that would be "independent research", which is bad), but you can have a games journo squawking bullshit for hours on end. It's ridiculous.

So are they just imitating that for the meme value or do these Vtubers actually have some sort of corporate handlers? The whole "subculture" seems to be weirdly curated, but maybe that's just a false impression I get from the outside.
They do have managers/talent spotters, and for the most part it is actually weirdly curated. It follows a format one could compare to Japanese idol groups and TV shows. Which is why even Pippa and Tenma are wrangled into shutting the fuck up sometimes, they have to follow company policy. Even though that company is comparatively very lax.

It's all about who knows who, and talent banding together under a manager to facilitate that is a story as old as time.

One of the co-founders, Larry Sanger, has outright stated the site has a massive left-leaning bias.
The site is also willing to nuke any article that is inconvenient to them like the one dedicated to Scientists Who Disagree On Climate Change.

Holy fucking shit they will literally 41% on that Hogwarts hill, won't they? How have these retarded subhuman mongrels not realized they are exclusively hurting themselves.
"REEEE, YOU CANNOT LIKE THINGS I DO NOT LIKE REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE" -DILATOR CRUSHED TO DUST-
"How have these retarded subhuman mongrels not realized they are exclusively hurting themselves."

These are men who have their own dicks chopped off, after all.

Who invented "cancel culture" and spread it to other SJWs?

(also how long has it been a thing?)

Cancel culture is effectively a modern day version of the Marxist tactics of "struggle sessions" and "unpersoning". You are expected to prostrate yourself for your misgivings or you will be stripped from the public conscious.

That hasn't stopped the Daily Wire or Tim Pool, because they know what would happen if financial companies tried to shut them down, i.e. people (including sympathetic politicians) suddenly getting very interested in what banks are doing again. And laws militating against banker activism might come in tow.

Has PayPal ever recovered from the bullshit they tried (and are still trying) to pull with their $2,500 "penalties"?
What has Tim Pool or even the Daily Wire ever said about trannies though? Sure they might be against giving kids the drugs but that's it. They still go through the motions and have token trannies like Blaire White.

Besides real talk we're not talking about PayPal, we're talking about the system behind shit like PayPal. Mastercard, Visa, etc as well as the banking industry. Shit so big that if people decided en masse to take their money and try to put it elsewhere politicians would make it a criminal offense to avoid the obvious fucking results that would ensue due to the hilarity/tragedy known as fractional reserve banking that we have in place.

As an outsider looking in, this has been greatly entertaining. There's so many tranny memes being posted and they're not being taken down, or taken down fast enough. Vtuber gets taken out, trannies get ostracized. Win/win.
Edit: Apparently the 4chan army is targeting the vt mods first?

Oh, this is getting good. This is getting real fucking good now.

If Kotaku writes an article, and nobody reads it or cares, has Kotaku written an article at all?

Earlier last month, Pikamee, a popular vtuber canceled her Hogwarts Legacy stream and went offline for three weeks, neither tweeting nor creating video content from February 8 through March 1. Yesterday, she announced she will retire from her vtubing career entirely. Angry fans have latched onto the Hogwarts Legacy controversy as the reason why their favorite vtuber will no longer produce content. But it’s more complicated than that.

Pikamee originally planned to stream Hogwarts Legacy when it launched on February 10. Upon reportedly receiving criticism for plans to broadcast such a controversial game, she canceled her stream and stopped producing content for the rest of February (The original tweet is deleted, but you can see a copy of it here).

Voms Project announced Amano Pikamee will graduate as a Vtuber on March 31, 2023. The end of her activities also means all of her videos will be made private. Her social media will be shut down. In addition, any merchandise featuring her will no longer be sold. She also shared a video going over the announcement.

Pikamee, who belongs to the "VOMS Project," originally planned to live-stream "Hogwarts Legacy" on the 7th, but was met with many people protesting JK Rowling's actions and not being able to support her gameplay, etc. She was finally forced to cancel the live-stream and sent a frustrated tweet (which was later deleted). Not only her, but also Twitch live broadcasters and other Vtubers have been affected by this, Baelz of Hololive and Astel of Holostars have also been affect by such negative tweets.
Even though the development team Avalanche Software stated that the original author was not involved in the development, it does not seem to have extinguished the anger of these little rainbows, which has not seemed to have affected sales so far. J.K. Rowling has been unconcerned about the turmoil surrounding her, despite the fact that it was cutting. "I'm sad, but I'll be able to sleep on my royalty checks at the beginning of the month."
