I often see people talk about just waiting for Boomers to die, then we'll inherit society. From a leftist point of view this makes since, 20 years from now whites will be a minority, LGBT will be a dedicated subject in schools and boomers, who tend to be the most conservative, will no longer be voting.
However, I see many people on the right sharing this sentiment (Null just said it himself). For people on the right who can't wait for boomers to die off, what exactly is your vision on how this will benefit society? I understand the hate for boomers, but do you really think society will be less pozzed, less nog loving, less for open borders when its run by millenials?

Most boomers are poor and powerless, their political leaders were as conniving and nasty as our own and their general population went along to get along as much as our own.

One way in which things will improve is that boomers have bought into lots of mainstream narratives and are too old to ever change those views. Younger generations who grew up on the Internet and not watching cable news will be more flexible in their thinking and not locked into establishment narratives about things. The world might get worse due to other factors but that's one big thing that will change IMO. The Internet is a fundamental shift in how information is distributed and its real effects won't be fully felt while society is still run by people who grew up and formed their worldview before it existed.

I can see it being a bonus from the accelerationist perspective. Leftists and Rightists at that point would be full of people with the right mix of hubris and incompetence to actually try out their utopian policies. Since most of these are completely disconnected from reality, collapse and balkanization is guaranteed. (Most of these "woke" policies are falling apart already)

It also means that land/business opportunities would be freed up for younger generations. Which you can't take advantage of if major changes aren't strived for today.

Hard disagree on this one. I’m only gen x but even in my lifetime I’ve seen the range of opinions narrow down until it’s one of two camps who define themselves in opposition to the other and cannot be reconciled. Zoomers are utterly brainwashed by the poz. Even the ones who think they’re in the other side are brainwashed - again it’s us v them and they hate each other. They’ve also been raised in a way that doesn’t expose them to hard ideas (university safe spaces for example.) this stops them getting practise in formulating debate and arguments. They’re coddled and neutered and taught that bad ideas and words are physically harmful, so they never learn to form opinions properly nor do they seem able to explore an alternative POV. I see these YouTubers all ‘debate me on’ and it just makes me sad because it’s like some kind of esoteric skill they think they’ve discovered when that used to be a night down the pub.
When I was young you could go down the pub and argue with a bunch of people who had really unusual views and you’d all laugh at the end and have a pint. Now it’s deadly serious.
I don’t think anything is getting better when the boomers die off. The media wants you to hate your grandparents just like they want you to be split along race/gender lines. It’s another assault on the family. Don’t fall for it.
The average boomer in the uk is in a small modest semi detached and on a small pension. It’s the rich, the elite who have looted everything, not your gran. But fight your gran, rather than go after the elite…

The reason shit feels like it's getting serious is because alternative viewpoints to the status quo have actually gained enough steam to become threatening. Weird views are easily laughed off when nobody feels like their power might actually be at stake. In response the system is lashing out and taking really extreme measures to try and protect itself; coddling kids in universities and teaching them to be avoid badthink 1984 style is part of this.

I think the boomers are often dumb and they annoy me sometimes in their general outlook, but them dying won't actually make anything better I don't think.

And if it does make things "better" it'll only be because if things fall apart, technically some younger people will be higher in the social order in a society with a lower standard of living.
Some people might be happier in that case, but a whole lot of others ones would suffer.

I get the feeling the ones most adamant about how the boomers dying would make everything better, are the same as the people who are most adamant that socialism would make everything better; they'd be the ones most screwed if what they wanted actually came to pass.
