They should call it Wokeandacon to get around the issue of using the copyrighted and trademarked name.
 
They should just make round trips to places in Africa like Gambia or Somalia.
I guess that would cure a lot of these "we wuz kangz" idiots of their delusions of grandeur.
 
My guess on how things go down:

1) Drugs n shit

2) people getting turnt and drama

3) Violence ensues and the cops come in

4) Disney and Marvel steps in to denounce all events

5) IT’S ALL WHITEY’S FAULT #staywoke #wakanda #blm

This is actually a pretty great scam. They make money selling tickets to pathetic whites who saw the movie, then when the C&D officially comes from Disney, they have to put event planning on hold and then eventually never actually put on the event or the event is a shitty version of Dashcon. Disney ends up holding the bag of bad PR for 'ruining' this totes real and totes professional event made by proud Africans.

Personally, I dont think any company will have the balls to try and enforce them to stop something like this. They'll get on their knees and open their mouth and beg for the load all over their face, then slowly integrate and start to buy operations and ownership in it, and lowball the guys running it, telling them theyre doing them a favor while subtly implying that it COULD be worse because it's technically not legal to use that IP, and the guys who started it will capitulate because theyll make bank anyway and probably dont want to deal with it for more than one year.

Im impressed that their degrees and refrences are pretty much sound, minus the "veteran in the board games industry". That doesn't mean anything. I was expecting them all to have/be obtaining some garbage social justice degree from some historically black trade school.

Blacks aren't wanted by others at their conventions. Others have the right to have their conventions. I don't blame us for having our own conventions or see the innate problem here.

My philosophy is for Black people to improve ourselves within reason. If we are not welcome at other groups' tables, then we can and must build our own table, and build it well enough so that Black people can have a place of our own rather than constantly seek acceptance from people that have nothing to gain and no desire to accept us.
