The bots are also straight retarded. They just aren't capable of doing their job, and this means that their theoretical use as spare spawns for when you die is greatly reduced because often they'll all be dead by then, or they'll die when the same machine gun burst that got you gets them.
There was a really old (90s/early 00s) game of which I forget the name that had relatively simple but good AI. I think it basically boiled down to three rules:
1) Always flank the enemy
2) Use cover to not get killed
3) Always be pushing towards a set objective flag
Unfortunately, expecting snail to not be retarded is kinda like expecting them to not make Jewish sterotypes look bad when it comes to the p2w part.

Isonzo has AI that's perfectly fine. Not really notable in any specific way, just that they move about realistically and are quick to respond to threats. I can actually tell the difference in that game because the Isonzo bots behave like real world people whereas the players behave like gamers, jerking around in weird-little zig-zags, unfluid movements to throw off enemy fire. In Enlisted they mostly just mull around. If they would just take cover, or have some playbook you could pull up of maneuvers, that would solve it. But like you said, it's Gaijin, they'll never give a shit.

Some other advantages of Enlisted's bots:
1) If they don't immediately die, they act as a way to let the player play all roles (by switching)
2) They give some feeling of balance to tank vs infantry combat where otherwise a tank would either die too fast or be overpowered; a tank vs a squad feels reasonable

gaijin mansplain their new economy update and threaten suicide if people dont stop review bombing the game on steam

Of course, a review on Steam is also a platform for expression. However, the majority of new players just look at the score evaluation, and do not read the text of reviews and do not go into what they were left for. So review bombing does damage to the game in that new players simply won't try it, while it doesn't raise their awareness of the problems you've noticed. If your goal is not to hurt the game, please use other, less destructive ways. For example, leave feedback in our forum, and suggestions specifically about the economy we are inviting in the feedback form. Also, review bombing will not cause modifying or nullifying in-game prices - if the game is shut down, no one wins.

ahahahahahahahahahahahahaahahhahahahahahahjaahah

we just spent the last 4 years changing our game into a whale hunting machine please dont ruin it for us

This current wave of backlash is interesting because it didn't stop after Gaijin revert their proposed changes, and steam is currently sitting at 23,000+ negative reviews in the past few days. Now more than likely this won't last for much longer, but its a big enough hit to Gaijins public face hopefully it inspires actual change.

im fascinated that the creative director of a videogame company is making vague threats against its own users that leaving a bad review on a platform they dont control is going to make them shut down the game servers

2018 is when the game started going hard downhill imo
before 2018 most bad reviews are about balance issues and bugs
past 2018 they become more and more about shitty business practices
battle pass was implemented in 2018
R3 T20 FA-HS added to game 2018

reminder: this thing was originally at 3.3 and could be matched with early ww2 era (and i think even a few ww1 era) tanks

war thunder deserves to die anyway. it once was a beautiful unicorn and every april fools they bitterly remind me of how much potential it had and how good things could be

fuck gaijin

Damn, I should open a sanitation company. I'd make so much hauling Gaijin and politicians promises (shit).

French Tier 1 tanks and literally the entire Type 74 line (Japan) come to mind as a reverse of that (8.0, can't pen most T-55 or later and they nerfed the only worthwhile piece of armor - the gun mantle). Oh, also the "German tanks can catch fire with a 10% chance from mg fire bullshit).
OTOH... Object 279, T-55-AM-1 and German KV-1s, lol.

Gaijin has Released the roadmap for the Economy changes, all changes are planned to be implemented by Fall of this year.
Link
They provided a helpful image version of the road map as well.

While all these changes sound good, its Gaijin so still expect shit, At least these are set in stone and not half promises they can easily walk back on.

I am cautiously optimistic about matters, which is leaving me confused since I'm so used to immediately transitioning to low-level anger whenever I think of WT.

If the reddit protest is of any indication, the "protest" that was promised in War Thunder was a crock of shit and the playerbase reverted back to being niggercattle. Gaijin can only promise and deliver but they'll go completely jew-mode slowly, like a cycle.

Anger the playerbase ---> Promise their demands ---> Slowly change the terms overtime ---> rinse and repeat, back to step 1

Don't.
Refinement of the damage model for small-caliber HEAT rounds. Fragments of the shaped charge jet along the flight axis will be capable of inflicting damage to the crew in the dimensions of the fighting compartment of any tank, if they are not stopped by more massive obstacles.
Soviet large ass side fuel tanks say hello!
Improving the balance of late Cold War era vehicles, when the homogeneous steel and full-caliber shells to APDS, ATGM, gun stabilizers, etc., by changing the BR of certain vehicles.
I am not hopeful for this at all.
Therefore, please perceive this roadmap as an experimental and exploratory endeavor. In the interest of transparency: Should it turn out that the changes outlined herein, whether in part or in their entirety, cause damage to the economic well-being of War Thunder that poses a risk to the further development of the game, we may decide to modify or roll back some or all of those changes.
Well, there you have it, I guarantee the research/SL gain will be reverted as soon as people forget.

Yep. There is however, one little wrinkle in the Snail's plan. One that in their arrogance they are sure to overlook. The Internet knows their one weakness now: bad Steam reviews.
Yeah but doesn't steam work with game devs to clean "bullshit" reviews? I'm 99% sure they did on a lot of major games. By bullshit I mean whatever the devs deem "not in good faith".

Yeah. And Gaijin did exactly that this time, dropping it from 100k to 12.7k, and its still at Overwhelmingly Negative for the recent reviews. And as you can see that's with the off-topic activity getting nuked.

This is not something they are going to be able to easily overcome. Yes, the overall reviews are at 376k and Mostly Positive, but that Overwhelmingly Negative will stick around unless they're serious.

It doesn't matter, what matters is that Gaijin's reputation has been hit, these mistakes are similar to the path Wargaming had as World of Tanks got worse. War Thunder is just simply following its Belarusian rival in terms of downfall.

It was certainly interesting seeing just how the economy changes brought forth a wave of bots into not naval battles. Like half the team at 10.0 were bots in stuff like harriers and milan. Though as soon as gaijin said something about it. Very few have been spotted.

Possible they unfuck themselves. Possible....but I won't hold my breath

The issue in ground forces was the uptiering of tanks from outside the WW2 era. It would be better to categorize by dates/gun size and have later ww2 fighting very early cold war prototypes. L7 NATO tanks versus the T-55 (and a few early T-72s), etc.
And if you're a minor nation GF like French or Japan you get fucked because your 8.7 should be a 8.0 at best. Rip the French APFSDS. It has similar pen to the Type 74 E's APDS at 100m. Reverse is true for HEAT-FS and HEAT on the Japanese lol.
Air battles well... Lmao Yak-9K 45mm versus the repeated 109 nerfs like swapping out 20mm gunpods for 15mm.

At this rate I'm waiting for snail to do something stupid and get sanctioned. Like putting the Ukrainian T-84 under the Soviets with a Z symbol on it.

MBT's have had z's on them since the whole Ukraine thing kicked off. It got to the point where the snail messed around and nation locked some decals to prevent people making z's I think.

They have stated they un-fucking the ww2 vs cold war tanks.

Yup. A lot of early cold war stuff is getting br increases. Still some dumb stuff such as super Sherman and whatnot.

Also T29 to 7.3 because apparently it still makes German players whine. Complete bullshit and I'm glad I got 4k games out of it back when it was good.

Cold war should have always been a separate tree like coastal vs Blue water naval.
