In other news, Gaijin Entertainment has censored and removed all forms of comments on the Celebration of the PLA Anniversary.

20 hours ago, Gaijin made a post celebrating the PLA and soon the comments were disabled on their page, despite other Anniversary pages having the ability to comment on the page. Reddit /r/WarThunder noticed this and a few posts pointing it out including this post. which got locked by the mods. In addition to this the Steam Announcement of said event also blocked comments and discussions of such.

Meanwhile, the Chinese War Thunder website has active comments, Wolf Warrior posts and people claiming to suck Gaijin's (or their CEOs) dick.

I'm salty about how you can't use the IJN skin on the American Zero in Sim anymore.

That's because in SB accidents happen thanks to skins like that... and you can also sneak up on Japanese planes since you look just like them. They never should have sold cross-nation premiums since it just causes no end of issues.

I like to look at the forums once in a while. You know what never gets old? The amount of hoops people will go through to defend br 5.7 panthers. Oh? American E8 Sherman is the same BR? Well, it has a stabilizer! I know how good it is because it makes a huge difference in tournaments!

Right there. Basing game balance on player stats and tourney performance. Thank you German players for being such shit, US players can't have anything remotely nice.

Lmao, no fucking way. then when someone asks why is every single Panther rival 6.3+, someone proceeds to say oh, but every one of those tanks has at least a single advantage (m26 turret, t44 speed), and yet that somehow refutes that the Panther combines more advantages into a single package. And you get an entire lineup of them lol.

I won't lie, putting 75mm apcr from a Jumbo into the face of a smug Panther gunner is satisfying.

*Edit* Which ofc leads to bad Panther stats and Gaijin going "you poor Panthers, we must protect you from US 75mm. Here, br 2.0

Just give me some respectable WW2 tank fighting. No BS mechanics, no BS matchups (like the aforementioned Panther). Want to add Cold War shit? Fine, but there has to be a hard barrier in eras.

bit late but i was a early purchaser of the il-2 tank dlc , its fine but its no where near war thunder levels , its only drawing point is that it has full interiors , for 80 bucks you got 5 tanks that took a few years to arrive and a map that took forever to get added that didnt even have a snow version for the snow tank camos.

also its on sale now for 40 bucks i feel scammed.

I didn't know those retards went into tanks, I stopped playing it after their P40 DLC I think. I thought it was nuts to pay ~$40ish for a single plane that's been done to death in other sims.
 

I keep seeing other people disagree with IL-2 but quite frankly, I'd better be off with it especially as a real simulation of WW2 warfare without the reliance of ArmA 3 mods.

As for WT, what a waste.

its not as sim as youd hope , no troops so all battles are tank vs tank , tanks arent modeled to , imo , sim quailty , this isnt steel beasts or anything

Are you seriously going to compare the F-14 A and B to a fucking P-40 simulation?
 
I know WT is in a bit of a rut right now, when I get burned out with tanks during the annoying events I either take low tier into high tier, HE for keks or just play air rb JU288c to grind SL or spade low tier planes in diff tech trees to keep my squad activity up.
Lately for shits and giggles I have been dive baiting noobs onto my tail in the early IL2's loaded with bombs and using the terrible performance and dank manoeuvres to make them overshoot into the path of the cannons or bomb donks when they pass underneath, very skillfull use of the tracking enemy camera look and key binds to avoid fire and bleed off speed. Best way to play WT, avoid the reddit community/forums, play it for fun with mates and just goof around. Unless you play SRB you're never gonna get an organised experience let alone a properly optimised game and is silly to expect it. Pub gaming doesn't work like that and all gaijin care about are selling premiums, they can't even shift spawn points to balance maps or extend maps range for higher tiers.

No other magical game is going to come along and give you a complete WW2/Cold war experience where you get everything included for the base price outside of something like Arma 3 and mods. The gaming overlords understand the grind appeals more to consoomers who just need to spend money or time to unlock shit to feel validated in their life.
