Warframe

One of my favorite unintentional grief scenarios is being Shield of Shadows Nekros in a squad with an Oberon running Rejuvinate. The Shadows eat through the Oberons energy so fast its like getting hit by an Ancient Disruptor. It gets even worse if one of the Shadows is the Kavat summoning Grineer unit and spawns four plus more Shadows that the Oberons forced to heal too.

I think thats the number one problem with the game, theres an overwhelming amount of systems and it just paralyses you if you dont know what to expect.
I imagine most peoples reactions to the star chart/mod screen are like Path of Exile.

Hell it happened to me, I just came back and theres 3 years worth of content to do. Whats an incarnon? Duviri? Archons? Why are my companions missing mods? shit is just not explained in the game.

It's overdesigned compared to his base look. I could mostly forgive it with Nidus, Nezha, and Hydroid's deluxes, but nothing about Styanax's deluxe says "hoplite" to me.

Peak deluxe is still Rhino's, followed closely by Wisp's.
Deluxe skins are getting really weak lately. They seem very unimaginative.

So a couple of questions for anyone that knows. Whats the companion meta right now? I have good ol Helios Prime but I saw some people with Diriga and may want to build that out. Also are Smeetas still as excellant as they were in past years? I love my Smeeta and its my preferred companion on non steel path.
Pets revive themselves infinitely now so it's Smeeta Kavat or Nautilus. They have said that the second half of the companion rework will completely change Smeeta.
Just put Manifold Bond and Helstrum on Nautilus and he'll pull the enemies into a big pile of fuck every 3 seconds.
I have noticed that energy economy is so much easier. I am mainly using Hydroid at the moment in steel path and nourish + zenurik = infinite energy. I spam all my abilities at will and never have to worry, I am tempted to try another school because of how easy the upkeep as been.
Energy Nexus was added in Whispers so that's another energy econ fix if you don't want to run Zenurik or Energize. I switched to Madurai and I'll never look back.

This and its follow-up are a good place to start for companion builds.

Heres my current hyper expensive Hydroid set up I am cruising doing random steel path relics and archon hunts with. Its very expensive, I bought the augments since they are new since I last played (200p each), but man has this build been a treat, I am loving how strong this guy is now. I think the one concern I have is Power Drift, sure footed may be better to keep from getting knocked down but honestly I am so tanky that it hasnt been a real problem. Pilfering can be swapped out but I always like extra drops and am not sure what you would put in its place. I havnt mathed it out but I think the Umbra forma is required. This plus my Arca Plasmor eliminated my platinum reserves, gotta get trading again!

I am currently trying to get red archon shards because duration is annoying, I just got my second red last night so I am at 2 blues (shields) and 2 reds (duration). Running with Tenet Arca Plasmor, Helios Prime (gonna switch him I think) and a Nikana Prime.

Swapped the 2 for Nourish, watch your top stat be recovering 30k energy to team every match! With Viral tempest and nourish you become a viral storm, everything within range will have viral and with easy energy now you can have 100% uptime on your 1 no issue.

Overall I am very happy, I really wanted someone to replace Wukong since I overused him and wanted a break from pew pew auto aim clone this go around. Maybe this time I actually will complete the SP star chart!

Let me look and see how close my Hydroid is to that. Sadly, despite playing since around the release of PoE, I'm really shitty when it comes to arcanes, and I'm so obsessive-compulsive with content that I haven't even gotten to the New War stuff yet because I'm trying to max everything out on Deimos, so no shards either, so I'm sure my build couldn't compete with yours regardless.

The shards are just QoL ability duration. I hate having to recast abilites every 10 seconds so they help massively. I think the arcanes can be swapped out easily as well, they are just duration and power, you can probably swap for grace and avenger and have a decent time. The recommended setup I based this off of used energize but I have had no issues with energy with zenurik.

New War was loathsome, but the content after it has been great so just grit your teeth and get through some tedious stealth.

That's my biggest problem with Warfame: you CAN"T stop or you will have no idea what the hell is going on. The setting is just too weird to pick up and play, stuff is just all over the place, currency everywhere, its just all a mess. It 100% makes sense if you start at the beginning and follow along but coming back to it is almost impossible.

Does the unmodded Ability Range not hurt your tentacles?

Its not been an issue, 15 meters is good for me since I use a shotgun anyways. Its enough to fill a room with tentacles and keep in mind tentacles are limited by amount not range. You can only have a max of 20 spawn, so thats 20 enemies CCed. I would rather have the max close to me CCed so I can quickly kill them as opposed to being spread out over a huge area.

Keep in mind my point for the tentacles is armor strip, they apply stacks of corrosive and CC, Tempest and plunder add the final stacks needed to totally armor strip with Hydroids passive.

I would need to free up a mod slot for that augment, and I like the viral rain effect a lot because with nourish I can easily hit 10 stacks of that for the increased damage. Nourish is also key for energy economy, and lets me un slot arcane energize. I am basically always 100% energy.

Status immunity is great but I am already fairly tanky with adaptation and umbral vitality, I just dont see the need when I can have essentially infinite energy and some more bonus damage.

I managed it with a lot of help from the wiki. I quit during Scarlet Spear and went back three years later.

I don’t play much now (race through content, rank new shit, long off til next as nothing has been particularly inspiring). I quite liked the circuit til they shoved the boss in. Might have to actually dig out Hydroid Prime and give him a whirl as it sounds fun.

They removed that mechanic where you have to charge the 4, now its just a single press for full effect. His new passive is also about corrosive armor stripping now, so no more slam attacks. He feels great to play, and his kit still has the extra loot mechanic if you augment so hes good for farming sessions.

I will say its very "busy", because you have the rain coming down from the 1, the giant burp noise if you subsume nourish like me, and 20 tentacles surrounding you holding enemies, so if you dont like the sound of that he will get old fast.

It's because they hire the same disgusting faggot to design every single one of them. That Liger faggot. All of his designs are aggressively homosexual, fetishistic and just overdesigned like fuck.

As announced in Devstream #176, we are undergoing a rebalance of Fortuna Syndicate Rank-up Costs, for both Solaris United and Vox Solaris. Our aim is to significantly reduce the grind needed for rank-up sacrifice costs to make these Syndicates more accessible for players

Yeah fuck Fortuna, glad this is coming though.

Are Netracells difficult? The prompt says I should have a team and I have never done them before but I want to grind archon shards. Should I just go in solo and try it or does it really require a full team?

Not really. They're mostly just very boring, and some of the modifiers can be a bit annoying (most are barely noticeable). The main incentive to bring a team is that they're on Archon rules, so if you don't have the Unairu waybound to revive yourself then it's possible that you'll waste even more time on what is already a very dull mission if you're downed.
