Warframe

Yeah I tend to just ignore the stuff with the devs because they arent shoving it down my throat (besides the profile icons) in game. Xaku (my beloved main frame) is technically non binary but it makes sense when you consider its a frame made up of the carcasses of multiple different frames stitched together.

Came back for Protea Prime, running a Tempest Barrrage build I tweaked from overframe that I quite like. Shes basically a caster with how much I am spamming abilities and its been fun to fuck around. I need to do some content thats harder than archon hunts to really put the build through its paces.

To be honest the game is fun for a period of time and if the grind wasn't so repetitive I would still be playing it despite it being so gay. It's too soul crushing for my taste, doing the exact same 5 things for hours and days only to craft the next warframe, and then doing 5 more slightly different things for more hours for upgrades and shit and at the end of the week you've done nothing.

It's just farming and grinding and then more and more farming for less and less grinding. You farm for the warframes then for the weapons then for the special weapons then for the mods then for the special mods then for the more special mods then for the Tenno and Tenno abilities and so on and so forth.

I would love something like warframe but more PVP oriented

The reason I like the game is because theres zero pressure to really do anything. So I can come back months or even years later and just pick up and play when I feel like a grindy game. I do not understand how people make this their main game to play when you are right, its just a cycle of build and grind.

It hits that Dynasty Warriors itch for me, I just want to turn my brain off and watch numbers go up. Eventually I get bored and move on to something else but I can always log back in and just pick up where I left off.

Yeah if you're into grindy games it's great. No need to push it or be there on time or anything. I came back last week after more than a year long break but called it quits 30 minutes later. Nowadays I prefer to play a match of Valorant(quite gay game as well lol) or some Ghost of Tsushima for an hour and go to bed. IDK if i'm autistic or something but knowing I need to finish the grind for the mod or the warframe keeps me on edge for the whole day and it feels like a second job knowing I've started doing something and it's not finished. Not to mention checking the marketplace and buying/selling recipes or these things you need before starting the dungeon, that drop items, forgot the names. What's gonna be vaulted next time, what's the game economy gonna be 1 month from now...

I think you’ve described pretty well what’s ultimately killed my enjoyment of the game. Theres always another grind, and I can never just stop and do some content I actually enjoy because I feel like I’m wasting time that should be spent completing the grind. I’m completely subservient to whatever content the grind demands and never get to have fun. It just becomes a second job.

I thought the Grineer were British.
Failing genetics led by a Queen (RIP).

Also what did DE mean by making the Corpus worship money?

Infested were probably a low iq dig at UWO students on bar crawls.
I figured it was because they needed a third faction and thought the flood were cool.

I started playing around with Protea more and just slapped Nekros' ability on her for armor stripping and CC. Basic, but it lets her fulfill almost any roll.

I ended up sticking Gloom on her 4 for easymode, it’s not optimal but it’s fun. Just jump into a group and spam the turrets down. She’s definitely one of the more comfy frames to play.

Yeah, it was the replacer for Destiny 2 for me. Just something to do while watching streams or other stuff. Destiny turned into complete irredeemable faggot garbage and I couldn't stomach it anymore.

"Oh hey it's been a few years maybe there are some more frames to farm, I wonder what DE has been up t-"

Ah yeah right now I remember why I stopped playing, and this from a guy who farmed every single available frame and prime frame at the time he quit. Yes even normal Harrow, nightmare as it was.

This is the build I am using, I dont have rolling guard so I swapped it for Umbral Intensify for now, I think that if I have survivability issues I will go and get a copy of rolling.
Rolling Guard does wonders for Protea. It's also fun because she has a unique rolling animation.

I started from zero in July and I think I managed to build every frame (not including Harrow and Nidus, which I've just ignored on purpose because I've ignored their quests and Duviri) + prime frame at around 700 hours.

Duviri helps a lot with the painful ones like Khora, Harrow, Nidus, Hildryn etc.

Yeah I farmed most of the painful ones before that was even an option. I also tried to get into Rivens but... just no. I hate how such a good base game is just continually wasted on one of the most inept dev teams of all time. Any studio worth a fuck could have turned WF into a CoD-tier smash hit money printer, but DE are so fucking stupid that they can barely retain players and "balance" & "endgame" are basically slurs to them.

If you ever want the missing frames just trade for plat and store-buy them. Harrow in particular took me so long that I could have bought him probably 5-10 times over if I had just done that.

EDIT: Holy lol for some reason I thought the Duviri was something in the game in 2019. I have no idea what I was thinking of, but it wasn't that.

Protea is my main and honestly her 4 and shield 1 give her all the survivability that she needs. I play her mainly as a caster too, but with the utility of her kit she can be a great weapon platform.

The only thing that holds this build back is energy, but that's something that I can fix with shards once I get around to it.

Her new augment for 4 honestly made me enjoy her again. Armor strip whenever something gets hit by the balls or turrets

Replace energy Nexus with equilibrium and also slap synth deconstruct on your companion and you'll be set. Going that route you should be good with replacing steadfast with something else.

Weirdly enough steadfast and energy nexus generate almost enough energy for her to run on especially once you start getting in the habit of hitting her 4 on a steadfast proc. Her downfall with energy comes from spamming abilities in her 4 so I was thinking of a couple amber or violet shards. Keep forgetting about synth deconstruct though. I should probably put that on my hound.

I stopped playing when Kuva Liches were released. It like broke me, lol. I had every frame and weapon, normal and prime, but I'm glad that the update was so shit. I jumped back into it when Empyrean released for a couple of days until i finally noped out for good because of how broken and buggy it was.
I have 2000h or something absurd like that. I still sometimes get the itch, but it passes pretty quickly when I think about hiw much new stuff I would need to grind. Still miss the movement and combat though. Never played another game that felt so good and where I would fall in this rhythm. Good times (mostly)

Definitely not missing Hydron, lol.

I hate basically every gaming YouTuber in existence, but Warframe ones are particularly annoying.
Does the faggot still do videos. I forgot his name, but he was really annoying. I thing he was some fat Mexican with a lip piercing.

No way am I admitting to my playtime. Railjack was why I quit the first time, absolute abortion of a release that was.

Started playing again sometime during covid and now I just log on to collect and rank the latest shiny. When my plat finally runs out then that’ll probably be it as nothing they have done recently has been that interesting.

I had well over 3000 hours in the game when i finally quit. There is so much that i liked in the game, but also things that were broken from the beginning.
First of Multiplayer was never fun, it was always just spamming infinite AOE and exploiting abilities to make actual content laughably easy. Speaking of difficulty, the beginning had a satisfying difficulty, but late game was just easy peasy endless grind.

One of the things that really pissed me of, was the movement update. Essentially broke all level design. I first stopped playing before they released the emo kids and played sometime later for a month, but by then the game was just trash.
