The true finale for the quest, where everyone lives.
So you're saying if I don't participate in the gay dating sim until they all like me, I can pick and choose which ones survive and never have to interact with some of them again?

No, you do not unlock the true finale until you get all of them to "like" you. You also cannot pick and choose which ones live or die, they will all live when you play the finale. Fortunately, you can just get their affection up via doing their bounties and sending them gifts and never, ever chat with them.

I think Arthur is just fairly distant and reserved, as a person. But that's just me.
Arthur is in love with Aoi, Eleanor tells you this. I have thus decided the only reasonable path forward is to cuck Arthur and eat the rice.

Quick heads up in case you haven't noticed, to increase ranks you need to increase your friendliness with the hex, which is incredibly annoying.
You only need Liked with everyone to unlock Rank 4 which is 90 Chemistry which is nothing when most of the preferred gifts are between 20-10 Chemistry and Bounties give 20 Chemistry once per day with whoever you run it with. Depending on how hard you go at it, it shouldn't take you more than a week, at worst, since you get 40+ Chemistry in a single day through Bounty (20) + Top Gift (20) + Conversation Choice (varies). If you're having trouble with gifting, than you can check the Wiki for a running list of who likes what. Worst thing that can happen is you waste some money.

I honestly didn't know gifting was a thing until yesterday because I've just been hammering out bounties and doing the chitchats to get rep. I didn't know the chemistry through bounties were a once per day thing.

After all these years, I'm FINALLY building Glaive Prime.
Glaive prime heavy attack slash procs are the only weapon in the game that can go toe to toe with stropha for endurance steel path raw damage/roomclearing potential per shot.

With the new Magnetic Capacity mod, it is now possible to have 5 elements on the Artax for priming. With shivering contagion, primed shred, rime rounds, radiated reload, magnetic capacity, split chamber, malignant force, and thermite rounds, the Artax will have: radiation, heat cold, viral and magnetic all at the same time. Combine that with a Diriga running Arc Coil, you are now passively priming for 6 elements. (If you run Manifold Bond on the diriga, the arc coil will also apply status effects from the artax. Use alongside Manifold Bond and Contagious Bond to prime whole rooms while constantly getting ability casts for free)

I started playing the other day, I have zero idea what I am doing but it’s been pretty fun so far.

I’m sure it will turn into a grindfest later on, but for a free game I really can’t complain too much.

Absolute moon question, but I am guessing that upgrading mods is the path to better damage etc rather than waiting for better weapons? Seems to be the way to go but that might have just been engrained into me by other games.

You eventually level everything but make sure not to spend a ton of ENDO on broken mods. Those are represented by a crack in the picture of the mod. They are essentially shit versions of normal mods.

Yes mods are the key power increase. You can clear the entire game with bad off meta weapons because of good mod set ups. Weapons are more about what you actually like to use, there’s a ton of variety and while it’s true some are better than most, you can easily mod a bad base weapon into something powerful.

Your main goal for now is just to slowly open up more planets. Once you have more of the map open, you have more freedom in what you choose to pursue. One of the game's best features is actually its story, but it takes a long time for that to start coming to the forefront.

You can no life the game to create the perfect arsenal, or you can just log in every few months when they put in a new quest if you don't care about getting to the 'endgame' (the endgame is mainly just fine-tuning your gear infinitely)

Correct. There are no random weapon drops with unique modifiers like in other games. Mods are THE #1 source of power in the game. Many early game weapons do fall off much later, but there are late game progression systems you can access to pull even your starting equipment up to viability.

Biggest hurdle people run is getting overwhelmed by the amount of stuff going on and quitting, or running out of equipment slots early and getting the idea that it is a pay to win game (it is not).

Can't figure out how to add the quote, but broken mods basically got removed from the game

I will add to this and say that if you enjoy the game at all, wait until you get a daily platinum coupon and if you spend money, buy slots, as many as you can. Warframe, weapons, pets and vehicles all take different slots.

That was my biggest problem at first, I tried it last year but bounced off immediately because of the sheer amount of stuff going on when I first logged in.

I’ve decided to just go through what feels like the ‘main’ quest at the moment and unlock all the planets and stuff. Just got Deimos unlocked and I am doing the Heart quest line at the moment.

I appreciate the advice and help so far, thanks all! I’m sure I will have some dumbass questions in the future, but for now I’m just going to play.

Spent all my free time playing Warframe since the update and will be rank 5 with the Hex tonight.

Pros:

Atomicycle is cool

Nyx rework is great

Cosmetics are fantastic

New player hub and home is good. Still torn on how I want to decorate.

Bounties are the Cavia system, so very easy to farm and stockpile rep

Above ground tileset is top tier.

Faceoff is extremely fun with a decent group and offers another way to farm pvp rep

Chat system is giving us tons of lore

Cons:

The chat system is so current day. I hate how the drifter talks like a redditor

Questline felt a bit disjointed. I think it needed some more padding.

Basement mall tileset fucking blows. It’s dark and cramped worse than a fucking spaceship.

Buggy, bounties not spawning correct enemies, enemies with extremely high health pools, Faceoff just breaking etc.

Faceoff is a slog with a shit group

Where’s my liches!? (I know they got delayed)

Overall I am having a good time. Going to build a summoner Nekros soon once I run out of 1999 content which is coming up.

My bingo card had a space for reworking the infested corpus shit tileset, not adding one that's just as bad

The above ground is amazing, almost open world like with how open it can get. Leads to some great fights especially during Faceoff. Zooming around on the motorcycle and then catapulting into the air while I lay down hellfire from my Acceltra is awesome.

Then you go below ground, get stuck on every corner, enemies coming out of walls as you try to navigate to that last oxygen container to keep it from spawning a mini boss just to get trapped by geometry.

I also need to figure out why it’s so fucking dark and no other area of the game is like that on my set up.
