In a game where shieldgating lets you get to level cap and spamming abilities is where all the fun is, a Warframe like Lavos that has cooldowns on his powers can feel underwhelming. However, when you consider how often you actually cast abilities on other 'weapon platforms' like Wisp, the cooldowns aren't that out of line. Especially since his abilities are always going to be useful no matter the mission you're doing.
